The Radio Collective is in it’s third year of broadcast with an audience reach, Worldwide. With three separate stations under it’s belt; The Radio Collective specialises in several categories within music and comedy. TRC 1 focuses on mainstream music, TRC 2 promotes new bands and unsigned artists and TRC 3 supports new musical theatre composers as well as comedy writers.
We play popular music 24/7 around the clock, internationally, in-between our fantastic schedule of programmes, interviews and chat on our channels.
You can tune in and listen to us on all digital radio players, Tune In, Soundcloud and direct via our website: www.theradiocollective.com
WHAT WE DO
We are the only radio platform to prioritise the work of new writers, performers and composers at this level. It’s vital we can continue this work so that performers and writers from all walks of life have an exciting vehicle to showcase their work in the arts. We showcase new music, bands, composers, new comedy writers, new presenters and performers internationally. We currently work with artists around the World including the UK, America and Australia.
By investing in us you are investing in your own opportunities as a performer and writer. In an artistic climate where new work can be seen as a financial risk; The Radio Collective actively wants to work with, and support, new work no matter your colour, gender, race or background.
Come and join in with the most exciting platform in the arts! The Radio Collective is now looking to expand its stations and fill it with exciting new content to sustain ourselves on the airwaves for the next year, or more, ahead. Your funding will help us put our new projects into place by expanding out technology and therefore make our work bigger and even better to sustain the station for the future.
UPCOMING PROJECTS AT THE RADIO
We are about to re-launch our newest channel TRC2 which features the absolute best in new and unsigned indie, rock and pop artists from around the globe. You’ll be able to hear songs here before anyone else and brag about your music findings to your mates down the pub. If you’re in a band yourself this could be your chance to get your music on the air! TRC are carrying on their aim to discover, support and nurture the best in worldwide talent in music. Not only that but we have scheduled new shows talking about video games, cars, sports and much, much more entirely hosted by our a sparky, fresh thinking band of female presenters taking the lead. Yes, Radio X eat your heart out. Our merry band of women will help you rock out to some bangin’ new tunes whilst also catching up with the latest gossip in Xbox, PS4 and PC World. You’ll even be able to join in with crying over missed goals on the telly all whilst fantasizing about driving round in a Lamborghini. Sound good? We thought so.
Our theatre and comedy station, TRC 3, continues to grow and we are proud to have helped support and promote a vast array of new projects from mainstream to small scale work and shows still in development. By playing solo albums and new musicals on the airwaves, doing interviews and increasing the reach of work; listeners from Japan, to America and Australia have had instant access to your work. In the expensive and ever challenging world of theatre what better way to get your work out there and promoted than with an all dedicated station to new writing. TRC3 is a non for profit channel and we require your support and funding to support us at this vital stage of current growth.
FINANCIAL INVESTMENT TO PROGRESS
In order to continue this exciting new project, we need to raise the funds to expand our studio equipment. It will allow more room to broadcast a vast body of work smoothly and without any of those nasty lumps, bumps or crackles over the airwaves.
Although we have some fantastic technology already behind us; the stations quick growth has mean this now needs a large to boost to sustain it for the years to come. We want to purchase four brand new hard drives, four new zoom microphones for our upcoming TRC2 launch and to be able to host even more brand new music writing in pop, rock and theatre. These hard drives will also allow us to store our comedy programmes on them and allow more new, aspiring writers to be a part of our station. This equipment is estimated to cost a further £1,000.
In order to sustain and maintain our huge database of music and historical catalogue we also need to invest in a huge boost to your software and computer equipment that will last us into the future. this is estimated to cost us at least £3,000 with specialist storage facilities and new processors.
We also have exciting plans for a whole range of new shows coming your way. Do you want to get your comedy writing out there? Fancy yourself as a presenter? Composed your own songs that you’re just dying to get out there for the world to hear? We want to work with you to do this, but we can’t do it without the financial help to launch us forwards. The more money we raise the more opportunities for new generations of creative there will be.
Risks and challenges
With our brand, spanking new studio equipment we hope to be well set on our way for the future ahead here at the station.
As it's specific equipment we want to buy there is very small risk involved for us. There is the possibility with all the new work we hope to take on that we need to further improve our capacity or equipment again in future. If that needs to happen we hope to have expanded the station enough by then to have generated further funds elsewhere or via further investment.
