October Surprise! Falcon Heavy Launch Update

Word is out: according to reporting Bloomberg news, the next Falcon Heavy launch date has slipped to October. While disappointing to all of our members and backers, a slip in dates like this is not uncommon with rocket launches—particularly, perhaps, for a new vehicle such as this.

In the meantime, our embedded LightSail blogger, Jason Davis, is out with another great blog detailing the laser ranging system that we will employ to track LightSail during its mission. Check it out!

A huge thank you to backers who answered our survey about attending the launch. If you haven't filled out the survey yet, you may still do so here

We'll continue to update the backer community as we learn more. Onward!

      Thanks for the update!

For once I can say I am actually happy about the delay :) The previous launch window wouldn't been great for me, to say the least! Greetings from Dubai and hope to see you at the Launch!
