Dear Nobility Booster:
Let's get down to brass tacks. Over the past several months, an album's worth of songs have been written, worked up in rehearsal and occasionally played out live. Now, it's time for us to take the next step: Committing these songs to tape for an official album.
As you're probably aware, this is an expensive process. Studio time must be booked, auxiliary musicians (cellists, flautists, triangle players) hired, props for video shoots purchased, album art and promotional materials pressed...it adds up quickly. In the past, the band has gone into debt to make their albums a reality and fought the uphill battle of breaking even via album sales and live performances. We're trying a different approach this time. The Nobility is passing the proverbial hat, asking our friends, fans and family to help us raise the recording, pressing and promotional costs on the front end.
By now, you're saying to yourself, "That's great The Nobility, but what do WE get out of it?"
This is where it actually gets pretty fun for you. When you donate to our campaign, you get cool stuff. And the more you give, the cooler the stuff is that you get. If you take a look to the right, there are opportunities to earn advanced copies of the album, limited edition Nobility t-shirts, one-of-a-kind Nobility Hatch Show Print posters, live shows performed exclusively for you and your friends, scenes from movies acted out in your living room, etc. etc. etc. Pretty exciting, right?
Well, fasten your seat belts because it's about to get even more exciting. In Kickstarter world, there are these things called "stretch goals." Our base goal of $8,500 is a bare bones budget to cover recording, pressing and a some light promotion. We're thinking bigger though. We want to use this crowd-sourcing opportunity to attempt a few things that we've previously never had the resources for...things such as pressing an album to vinyl, hiring a professional promotion company for a greater audience reach and our favorite--RECORDING EVEN MORE MUSIC.
Here are the stretch goals we'd like to try to reach if we can:
$12,000: We press this album to vinyl and everyone who donates $75+ gets a copy. It will go in your vinyl collection right between New Kids On The Block and Gary Numan. We can already see the impressed look on your house guests' faces.
$15,000: As of right now, the band is planning on a ten-song album. However, if we somehow hit $15,000, we'll include FOUR bonus songs. That's the kind of bang-for-your-buck that makes Dave Ramsey proud.
$25,000: The Nobility hires a minor celebrity to be in a music video. We double dare you to try us on this one.
That's it. That's our spiel. We have music we'd like to make and we need your help to make it. If you're reading this, there's a good chance that you're a longtime supporter of The Nobility (once upon a time Jetpack). If that's the case, we're very grateful for you and the truth is you've done enough already. If you ignore this campaign and donate nary a dime, we'll still view you as the bees' knees in a major way. There's no pressure. BUT, if you are willing and you are able. We'd LOVE your help.

Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge we have in front of us is financial. If we don't hit our goal, we get $0. Your credit cards aren't charged and it's back to the drawing board for us. But if we do, in fact, meet our goal, we will immediately begin the process of booking studio time, laying out artwork and planning our global domination.
Another challenge is anonymity. If people are unaware that this campaign exists, we probably aren't going to hit that $8,500 mark. The remedy for this is good old-fashioned sharing. Share this link as much as possible. Post it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter...staple a QR code containing this link to your coworkers' shirt...whatever you have to do to help us get the word out.
Seriously. Thanks again for your help. We love you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
