INTRO TO THE MIND + GAME SHOW

The MIND + GAME Show is different. Not a new game, but a new genre in social engagement & online entertainment.

The MIND + GAME Show while original and perhaps defining, it is not however, a breakthrough, but the beneficiary of a template on how to produce dramatic, exciting and original online entertainment via social media and the blogosphere. 

The First Ever Reality Show in a Blog

Only July 15, 2015, the first Reality Show ever in a blog - The Lives We Live Pilot episode would debut. Nine people from three countries - most strangers - all but two, virtually unknown, would reveal their lives upon an underground stage, while entertaining the viewing audience - without knowing if one existed. 

World by 7th Born Productions. One of the many wonderful songs included on The Neighborhood Soundtrack.

The first 2 episodes were well received; even producing a shocker when country singer Lance Stinson - the only contestant with a following - was voted off in Round 2. But at the end of Round 3, the show's creator Kendall F. Person, reviewed the numbers and he knew 'Lives' was doomed. But before he allowed it to die, he would play the only card he had left. With no budget for marketing and no connection to big name stars, he would use his unmatched skills as a performance writer. He called a virtual meeting with the 6 Lives that remained (2 were ousted in Round One, including Person's very own half-brother). Each of them giving him permission, to spin the story of their lives, into a thriller. 

Over the next 3 hours, he would detail a true backstory of each of the contestants, before casting them out via thepublicblogger Facebook Page, into the worldwide web. When he returned to the stats page, to his absolute amazement, hundreds of new viewers had arrived from Facebook alone.

Breakthrough In Social Media/Blog Based Reality Show

Before A Star is Born ever saw the light of day, Person built an entertainment apparatus. He would team up with some of the most talented underground artists to emulate their very own entertainment industry. And the talent on stage was already set, for the 11 participants were not random, but had been nominated by committee as the Best Performance Artists of 2015, After nearly 3 months an internal implosion, an external disqualification, computers crashing and voters storming the virtual voting booth, when the final showdown arrived, the blog presentation portion of the LIVE episode would become the most watched show, and third most read post in thepublicblogger.com's brief 3-year history in a matter of only eight hours. 


What is The MIND + GAME Show 

A Social Media & Blog Based Reality Show and A Game of Elimination .

There exist a society online that remains undiscovered, yet everyday people are doing things that may contribute to a more civil, peaceful society, through beauty, art, activism or sure presence of self. The MIND + GAME Show is that journey of knowledge and discovery. 

Each week the Players are sent on a quest - announced publicly on site and shared via social media links - that will take them around the globe via the world wide web. Their destinations are found through a series of traps and real scenario-like puzzles. And their is a very real mission to bring back their discovery and present it the world.

There is a point system involved, that can lead to unexpected outcomes, but the viewing audience, maintains the lion's share, by voting on the best or their favorite presentations.

The bottom 2 vote getters (or point totals) enter the mind game round: a live head to head competition, where the victor moves on, and the defeated is eliminated from the game. 

Audience Interaction 

The viewing audience becomes a part of the game, either by destination and/or aiding one's favorite Player(s) with information on quests and/or discoveries, through words of encouragement and most importantly, by casting a Vote.

The Mind Game Round: Hangouts Time: TBD Elimination: A live game show like battle, where the Host will ask a series of questions - based on their quests -the first to give consecutive wrong answers, will eliminated from the game (if both miss consecutively, game continues in a sudden-death.)

App: The MIND + GAME Show app will allow the audience to communicate with players, cast their votes and become a part of the game. We have selected a company that will build the app and provide the continual updates as the rounds move forward, becoming more involved and intense in the process.

Cost

The app, with the continual need for updates, is expected to be the biggest ticket item. But its relationship to the game, giving everyone access to play a part, from the casual to completely engrossed, from communication to the continual show updates and announcements, and to have access anywhere to watch the head to head match up in the mind game round, makes the careful design of this simple app, a feature, that gives the cost its relevance.

The purchase of music and arts rights and a small team of writers. (for app and show presentations), marketing & promotions, upgrades in computers, maintenance and general operation of running a high-profile, all encompassing social media/blog based reality show and multi-player game. 

At specific locations, the quests will involve the purchase from the blog or site or page.The items will be disbursed as prizes to the players and audience, but that is not the main purpose. When the show arrives at a person's online door, we want it to be exciting and that they know, they have been discovered. The Neighborhood has built its relationships and audience on respect, and whether it is a 99 cents song or 25.00 handmade scarf, The MIND + GAME Show wins, if we create the spirit of winning for all. on such a large game board. 

And, creating the proper set for the mind game round, lighting, cameras and in later rounds, a  space  for a  live audience?

Risks and challenges

The risks are always audience retention and technology failures. But through our experience in effectively producing quality entertainment of this type has taught us to be aware of the unexpected. But with such a committed band of artists and volunteers, and an Inner Council that takes its job very seriously, we are prepared to meet and overcome each unexpected challenge, without missing any dates or cheating an engaged audience.
