Greetings traveller! I'm Jake and i am the creator of The Mythic Merchant and his creatures, you can find us over on Instagram to have a look at our work.
Menagerie of Monsters is a collection of soft enamel pins inspired by the creatures and beasts from Dungeons and Dragons and my love for turning something monstrous into something cute. You can use these pins to adopt your very own D&D creature, Ever wanted a pet Owl bear? or a Kobold minion? Well now you can!
This is my second kickstarter, the first one was centred around mythical creatures and our most popular design Cthulhu, you can check them out on our Etsy store.
Also i just want to say thank you for supporting this campaign, even if it's just sharing it on your social media or with your own D&D group!
The two designs we are going to start with are the Owl Bear and the Kobold as these are my two favourite creatures from the world of D&D even though i did get mauled by an Owl Bear once but we wont talk about that... Anyway!
Each pin will be soft enamel and 38mm or 1.5 inches at the tallest point. The backing will be black dye (This is the reason we chose soft enamel, so we can have have a red outline for the Kobold, a brown outline for the Owl Bear and so on), Also each will have 2 backing pins to make sure they are secured to whatever you want to stick them to.
The backing cards are inspired by the monster manual and you can even use them as a quick reference card to check the monsters stats, but comparing the Kobold to his big brother the Red Dragon might be a little unfair.
We have 6 pins to unlock as stretch goals, The Shambling Mound, The Mind Flayer, The Mimic, The Adult Red Dragon, The Displacer Beast and The Beholder, with hopefully more unlocked if we clear all of the stretch goals.
The pins are going for £6 early bird, £7 once we get passed the first 48 hours and then £8 when they find their way onto my Etsy store, so make sure to grab them as soon as you can!
If you guys really want to help unlock these stretch goals, please share the campaign with your friends on social media! you might have some secret nerd friends you didn't know about! Also to make it easier i'll include two big blue buttons.
Okay lets get on to the technical stuff and start off with a time line.

Risks and challenges
This isn't my first kickstarter and i have been running an Etsy store for nearly a year so hopefully everything will run smoothly, the only risk we have falls to the pin manufacturer but i have been speaking to this company for a while and have made sure they can fulfil everything that we need.
Also all 8 of my pin designs have been checked by the manufacturer but they are still subject to minor changes like colour and details. If we do have to change anything i will put out an update to all of you backers. Also i will update you every step of the way!
You will only be able to pick from the pins we unlock
