How time flies
So, we have been quiet for quite some time. And all of a sudden we are only 4 days out! I hope you will forgive us for the long radio silence.
Let's start this update the right way - over $8,000 raised! We are so close now to reaching our goal, it's all becoming very real.
While we had grand plans to post update videos and all sorts of awesome stuff, the reality is that we simply haven’t had time. The good news is that the reason we haven’t had time is because we are working non-stop on delivering on our vision to change the way kids interact with technology.
For the past few weeks, we have been working on a roadmap and groundwork for delivery of the content which this Kickstarter is going to fund! Part of that has involved getting custom content developed. We are super lucky to have a very talented modeller on our team, who has designed and modelled the new face of Sharks in the Park. Here is a sneak peek:
Watch out kids! This dude is going be chasing you around in a park near you very soon.
As well as having our new shark (name TBC) modelled, we have been working on a completely custom User Interface. The UI is being designed from the bottom up, starting with some pretty awesome concept designs. Again, we are extraordinarily lucky to have a fabulous UI and game designer working with us to create a bespoke UI perfect for an Augmented Reality adventure. Developing a game UI for Augmented Reality is no easy feat, as it requires clever use of the screen so that the elements do not interfere with the user’s view of the real world. Look out for some visuals in our next update!
You may have noticed the pretty damn amazing artwork in our Kickstarter headings. For the third time in this update, I am going to sing the praises of our team. This artwork was done for us in a single day, and that same artist will be providing the wallpaper for those of you lucky enough to be receiving that reward. Here’s some concept art of what that might look like:
Watch out for us in the news this week, as we are busy hustling up some media coverage. We will let you all know as soon as you can read more about what we have been up to - written and recorded by real journalists!
So, as you can see we have been busy making progress and preparing for the months to come. This Kickstarter is just the beginning – but it’s a beginning we couldn’t have without all of our supporters. Please consider helping us with the final push to get over the line by spreading the word and giving everyone a chance to get on board before it’s too late!
