The Focus Journal is the result of research and testing. Its layout was tested for an extended period and modified based on our findings:
- The Focus Journal is undated: The way we work has changed, not everyone has a 9-5. The fact that the journal is undated allows you to skip days or use one page for multiple days.
- Minimal design: We were able to declutter the traditional planner. Some journals out there were so packed with information that it discouraged its users from using it or resulted in many hours spent planning and less time actually doing.
- Graphic elements: Each design element of the journal was carefully studied for maximum efficiency: from the size of our tracking circles to the space between our dotted lines. We know good design from bad design.
- Brain activities and suggested fun tasks and well-being tasks:
A lot of planner and journals on the market include motivational quotes. However, we found that different motivational quotes didn't really speak to everyone and sometimes they were simply too cheesy. Instead, we included a practical list of fun tasks and well-being tasks to spice up your days and we added a few different "brain activities" that were approved by DynamicBrain to help train your brain.
