About this project
THE DYING EYE, a GOTHIC FAIRYTALE
Robert Drigson, university student by day and underground vigilante by night, is involved with a violent cult who go around Edinburgh and inflict their post-apocalyptic views upon innocent bystanders.
It's a dark, psychological look at the unconscious and repressed history, and the combination of both which results in an extreme, violent cataclysm of events triggered throughout the story.
THIS IS AN INDEPENDENT FEATURE FILM MADE IN EDINBURGH, BY EDINBURGH!
We want to make a feature-length, psychodrama movie in the magnificent, Gothic Old Town of Edinburgh with an entirely local team. This is a highly ambitious project, but together, we can do it!
Ever since September 2012, we have been working around the clock to make this this film FOR YOU. Right now we're in the middle of rehearsals, securing locations, getting equipment, and sorting out props and costumes in dozens of production meetings so that we're ready to shoot the film January 16th, 2013. The film is slated for completion September 2013 and will be sent to international film festivals.
PLEASE HELP US PUT EDINBURGH ON THE MAP FOR FILM.
Edinburgh is a place rich with history and tradition. But, the last independent feature film made here was 4 YEARS AGO!!
Since then Edinburgh is a place for certain scenes, but never the setting for a full movie.
This is a shame. Edinburgh is one of the cultural meccas of the world. It's stunningly beautiful with an incredibly special past.
We want to shoot "The Dying Eye" 100% in Edinburgh.
"The Dying Eye" is an independent film which means that it is completely free of studio control. We can make the film just the way we want it, on our own terms and conditions.
WE'D LOVE TO HAVE YOU JOIN US!
Everyone is volunteering their time and we have already begged and borrowed everything for the production that we can possibly get from around Edinburgh. Now we need money to cover these essential items that we simply can't find for free.
Please spread the word of "The Dying Eye" to everyone you know! You can use emails, Facebook, Twitter, texts, and share the links below. THANK YOU!!)

"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible."
