Door Defense is made of cold rolled, powder coated steel. The attractive product fits most doorways and is easy to install. The complete kit comes with the Door Defense, hardened 3” stainless steel screws, weather-stripping, and easy to read instructions.

The Door Defense is easy to install, requiring little more than a power drill with a screwdriver bit, a pair of scissors (or a utility knife), the Door Defense kit, and just a few minutes of your time.

Rewards

Douglas Gerzina is a father, inventor and eye doctor who has been practicing medicine for over 20 years.  He currently works at a VA hospital where he provides eye examinations for US military veterans.

Douglas got the idea for the Door Defense while working in real estate.  He has many other inventions in the works, with the Door Defense being the first that is patented.

Risks and challenges

We do have manufacturing and shipping already in place. Depending on the amount of products that are ordered may delay production at the start. Most of the products will be shipped a month after the close of the Kickstarter goals being met.
