About this project
My name is Kristina, and I love chocolate. I am originally from Hawai’i, which is a place that a lot of chocolate makers like to think of as the unofficial chocolate capital of the United States. I learned to make chocolate in Hawai’i, and got to really see the whole process of chocolate making from growing cacao to fermenting it, to roasting and winnowing the beans, to grinding it into delicious chocolate. I currently live in Asbury Park, New Jersey and I want to share my passion for chocolate making with all of the great people here.
ABOUT THE CHOCOLATE RABBIT:
Iam raising funds to open a small chocolate shop in Asbury Park, NJ.The Chocolate Rabbit will offer everything from handmade truffles and ganaches, to bean-to-bar chocolate bars from the best chocolate makers around the world. We will also offer a small selection of pastries that will be different every day. During the summer we will have two rotating flavors of dairy-free ice cream.
The Chocolate Rabbit will only use the best quality and ethically sourced ingredients for all of our products. My plan is to feature many different flavors from Hawaiian inspired flavors such as mango and macadamia nut to more unique flavos such as rosemary, saffron lemongrass and basil.
On April 12th, 2014 I will be doing a pop-up shop inside Red Moon Lifestyle & Home on Bangs Avenue in Asbury Park. At that time I will be taking orders for Easter chocolates!!

Risks and challenges
