The BulletProof Ghost is written by Jake Harris. Concept Art is being done by Scott Loesch. Jake started working on the basic story to BPG 10 years ago in outline and semi novelized form while still in high school. Over the years it has morphed into various versions of comic book scripts and now concept art.
BPG is about a 13 year old boy named Kyle Richard, who is constantly bullied by a group of classmates. Kyle is accidentally killed and brought back as a adult cyborg, Cybernetic Prototype 005. The first issue will deal with Prototype Five going through various life threatening tests and battles to prove that he is worthy for his creator's plans. William, a mysterious man that has technology far beyond that of the rest of the world, who's motives are unknown, wishes to put Kyle through training and tests before revealing his end game.
Jake took a lot of his experiences with bullying and when he was younger, used that energy to create what is now The BulletProof Ghost. Though it morphed into something other than an immature revenge fantasy. It is now a thoroughly defined universe with characters with their own thoughts and motivations.
This is the bare minimum to cover art costs from Octographics.net, printing costs, reward costs, as well as Amazon & Kickstarter's fees.
The team is highly motivated and will work very hard to make this project funded and successful, but this can't be done without your pledges. Any amount will help, but check out our rewards so you can better make that decision.
Thanks from all of us on the BPG team.
Layout design for Issue #1's cover. Sketch by Scott Loesch. This is Kyle walking next to Kevin Hedwin's grocery store. He reflection is his Cybernetic form, alluding to the future.
The BulletProof Ghost landing by Scott Loesch. This is the final design for BPG and shows how his armor moves he's in motion. Some of the components are armor, while others are part of his body. His right arm looks different from his left due to his left being synthetic. His right arm is covered by a retracable metal mesh that is made loose or hard by nanites in the molecular structure.
Prototype 004 by Scott Loesch. Prototype 004 is the final enemy Kyle faces at the end of the first issue. The outcome of the battle will define Kyle's fate and maybe the fate of us all.
Synthetic Prototype by Scott Loesch. Synthetic Prototypes are William's foot soldiers and training tools. They aren't particularly bright tactically, but are deadly in the specific missions given to them. Mostly used as assassins or spies. Like the Cybernetic Prototypes, they can mask their presence, but must appear to attack due to the invisibility draining their power source and the field itself acts as a barrier.
