The Black Glove VR Support Announced + Operation: Save The Black Glove + More

Hey everyone,

We’ve always felt that The Black Glove's immersive, story-rich environments (made by artists who help create the BioShock series' Rapture and Columbia) are particularly well-suited for exploration using virtual reality headsets.

So, Day For Night Games is thrilled to announce that we're adding VR compatibility for The Black Glove as part of our initial ask.

If fully funded on Kickstarter, we intend to support The Black Glove for both the Oculus Rift and the PS4’s Project Morpheus.

But, of course, The Black Glove has just one week left and a long way to go. In fact, we’re at a similar crossroads to where Republique was at this point in their Kickstarter campaign.

Can we accomplish the same incredible feat Camoflaj did with Republique and raise more than 70% in the next seven days?

With your help, yes!

Taking inspiration from Camoflaq -- whose Ryan Payton wrote us yesterday: "YOU CAN DO IT!!" -- we’re launching Operation: Save The Black Glove

We’ve created the following images for you to download, share online with friends, or whatever you want to do to help spread the word.

If you want something new and different, shout from the rafters!

Your support will provide Day For Night Games the creative independence to make The Black Glove an uncompromisingly original game.

As you know, we’re a group of developers with experience on games like BioShock Infinite, BioShock, BOOM BLOX, and more. We’ve taken enormous personal and professional risk to get The Black Glove this far, funding it entirely out of our own pocket.

Why? Because we’re dedicated to not only making The Black Glove a high production value, fun, immersive game experience, but having it be first of many.

But it all starts here – with your help.

That’s one of the reasons we’re offering a Lifetime Membership to our Kickstarter backers. By helping us ensure the future of our studio, you’ll get download codes for every game and all downloadable content we ever make on the platform of your choice (plus all previous rewards).

If The Black Glove is the kind of game you want to see made -- if Day For Night Games is the type of studio you want making games -- we ask that you consider upping your pledge so both can happen.

Even upping one tier higher can make a huge difference in ensuring that The Black Glove continues.

What’s next?

On Monday, we’ll be unveiling new screenshots illustrating how you utilize The Black Glove as a metaphysical investigator to view secret messages, reveal character’s hidden motivations, and quell the minions of The Space Minotaur.

There are many more updates and surprises left, so stay tuned.

Thanks for the support! Keep spreading the word!

Best,

Joe

You can do it! I really want to play this game.

This is certainly nice to hear especially considering how bad B.S. Infinite was in the 3d Vision dept. Good to have 3d support straight out of the gate.

Good job referencing and linking the Republique story! I have renewed faith!
