Hey guys,

We know it has been awhile, and we apologize. But, it's because all of us here at Big Finish Games are working night and day to get this game to all of you. Tesla Effect has turned out to be so MUCH bigger than we had originally anticipated. For more information about the status of Tesla Effect, as well as some fun new facts, check out our newest update video - complete with brand new footage!

Geeze, I'm so excited it's crazy!

WP: The shirts are at the BF office, but they're going to ship once they have all the physical rewards in, and since one of them is a boxed copy of the game, that'll be after the game is finished

    3. WP - Member, Mutant League on March 2, 2014

What is the status on the t-shirts please ?

    4. Andreas Lindfeldt on February 28, 2014

The game looks fantastic! It makes me proud to be a backer. :-)

    5. Frogacuda on February 28, 2014

They still have to ship a physical version, so I doubt they're going to want to go over 9GB. 18 max.

    6. Tomimt on February 28, 2014

@Jeremy: if it is, I'll have to buy a new hard drive... which I should do anyway. But in all seriousness, I'll wager Tex will be about 10-15 gigs.

      Thanks for update

Btw: did he just say "20 or so mini-games

What will the requirements be then? Could Tex be the first 100gb game?

    9. Shatners Bassoon on February 27, 2014

The biggest fool, April has ever seen!

      I wonder what that means!!

So glad to hear about Chris and the Big Finish team. This is a fantastic update! No matter about the final release date. After 16 years between Overseer and this Project, we have still enough time to see this game getting bigger and nicer.

    11. Shane Banks on February 27, 2014

Now that is an update!!!! Thank you to everybody for their hard work on this game.
      It looks fantastic!!

    12. Frogacuda on February 27, 2014

Patric: No, it can be downsampled (or upscaled) or cropped. That's just its native resolution.

    13. Tobi (Crusader Kickstarter pls!!) on February 27, 2014

@Patric - where did you get that text snippet?

    14. Wim Jansen on February 27, 2014

Eh.... "An error occurred, please try again later"
      Samething on Youtube directly...
      Is the video offline?

Thanks for the update, I'm looking forward to the game!
(and great video! although it would be nice if you could include text for those who don't have the time to watch the video at the moment...)

      I think I just had a nerdgasm.

Great update! Well done Chris and team. :)

" The 2K format being delivered with Tesla Effect provides 2048 pixels of horizontal resolution. This refers specifically to the live-action full motion video portion of the game. The actual game engine graphics are scalable to many resolutions your monitor is capable of displaying."
Wait, so you have to watch the FMV in 2k or did I misread this?

    19. Frogacuda on February 27, 2014

This is shaping up to be everything I had hoped and so much more than I expected. That something like this can even really happen is enough to justify the whole Kickstarter movement to me.

Benjamin: Horizontal. Probably 1125p, but possibly 1440 depending on the aspect ratio. Moot for me, since I don't even run at that res, but it should help the game age well at least.

      That's just SO COOL!

    21. Benjamin Penney on February 27, 2014

Is that 2K measured across (like 4K), so 1125p? Or is that 2K measured down (2000p)?

    22. WP - Member, Mutant League on February 27, 2014

Say goodbye 720p, 30fps shooter and hello 2k high definition full motion adventure video game :)
Those over 1000 steps, that is not up and down a staircase right ^_^

    23. Tobi (Crusader Kickstarter pls!!) on February 27, 2014

man i'm really getting excited about the game. and i am glad that i have a relatively new and powerful PC :)

    24. Tomimt on February 27, 2014

Yummy. Can I again say how impressive the blend between CGI and the real actors look? And those city scenes. Wow.

    25. tarasis on February 27, 2014

      But
But my monitor only supports 1280x800! Think of all that waste Hard drive space :)

Nah it's okay, this year it's a new computer and monitor to play all these lovely games that are coming ;)

      Yay, for 2k!

    27. Anthony Tedesco on February 26, 2014

This may be one of the finest updates of this or any project I've backed.

    28. Chris Clarke on February 26, 2014

I've got my 3D monitor on standby...totally can't wait to play Tesla Effect in 3D

    29. Riggo on February 26, 2014

Leave it to you guys to make my 2560x1440 monitor outdated!

    30. Riggo on February 26, 2014

Of course, Links in 2K would be really sweet! :-D

    31. Riggo on February 26, 2014

Nice update! :-) As long as I get my Links386 simulator, this game could be delivered in 320x200!
