About this project
Backers receive special Kickstarter pricing on the Anti-Gravity Pack System with their pledges.
Watch the inspiration behind the Anti-Gravity pack:
Risks and challenges
Through our experience with the Tessel Jet Pack Kickstarter, development, and distribution, we've got a decent idea of what it takes to deliver your rewards (on time).
We have visited the manufacturer and know that the Anti-Gravity system is executable (all the images you see are the manufacturer's development samples).
Distribution is already set up for when the bags are completed. Really all that's left are a few tweaks, and most importantly having the necessary funds to order materials and get production started.
Here's how we'll accomplish this dream:
August-September: Raise funds for manufacturing through Kickstarter.
September: Travel to our manufacturer in the Philippines to finalize the pieces for manufacturing and place the order.
October-December: Production of pieces.
December-January: Shipment of pieces to our distributors.
January-February: Send out all rewards to our backers.
We understand there are issues that may arise in material availability, lead times, politics, foreign affairs, holidays, etc. We will post updates throughout the process of production and fulfillment - including updates while we're in the Philippines.
Any delays will be communicated through our Kickstarter updates.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Fidlock says of the hardware, "Despite its low weight, a SNAP fastener can withstand loads of up to 20 kg." And there are two on each bag.
Short answer - no.
Longer answer - Flash storage and LCD screens are not at risk for damage from magnets. Long exposure to very strong magnets can damage hard drives. These magnets shouldn't cause any damage - think of magnetic clasps on purses and wallets.
We would love to offer shipping all over the world - but it isn't realistic for us. We've chosen to ship to countries where we have a high success rate and that are affordable.
If you live in other countries you're welcome to look into a mail forwarding service or have friends/family who live in one of those countries mail you the package. However, we can't take responsibility for the package after it reaches that destination.
