WHY I NEED YOU...
This is my first full length book to be self-published. It has been a labor of love and I've been writing and re-writing this book for over a decade. However, the final version is by far the best and I'm not just saying that because I wrote it. Love Lessons for Single "Happy" Girls and Their Not So Happy Friends is a book that shares lessons I've learned about love and life either through my own experiences or through the experiences of others who are close to me. At moments it's funny, candid, and outright embarrassing, BUT it's my story and I want to share it with you.
Here's where you come in. I need you to help me bring this project to the world. Without you, a reader, a supporter, a believer in the work I do, I can't exist as a successful writer. I need you to not only give, but to share this project with other women and men like yourself. Let's help this project fully realize its' potential in the marketplace by making a pledge today.
Don't forget however, the best way to get it to the market place is by sharing it with others. To do so, you may want to invest in the NO-BRAINER OPTION. It's a great deal and one that you can share with your friends, family members, and co-workers for a price much cheaper than you're going to find in the stores once it's released. You can also share it by posting it to your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts. The bottom line is, I need your help.
Love Lessons is the project to support, so please support today and encourage others to do the same.

Excerpt from Love Lessons;INTRODUCTION
I began writing this book in my mid-twenties. The title at the time was Twenty Things Every Woman Should Do Before She Says I Do. I worked on it for several years and when I had finally finished nearly ten years later, I sent it to an editor in New York City. She liked it, but wasn’t convinced that it would sell, because now at 37, I still wasn’t married and had never been. So, “why”, she asked, would people be compelled to listen to me?
Equipped with that bitter dose of truth, I spent the next few months mulling over the book. I was rethinking its’ pages, trying to figure out how to salvage them to write something more in alignment to who I was at that moment. Finally, it hit me. It was indeed a fact that I didn’t know a thing about saying, “I do”, but I knew a boatload about it’s polar opposite. Being single was my shoo-in. Therefore, I set out to “re-write” what is now, Love Lessons for Single "Happy" Girls and Their Not So Happy Friends.
This is my story along with countless other women around the world, because I personally know a thing or two about being single, especially, the value of being happy and single. Even in my not-so-happy days as a single woman, I’ve realized that being single is all about what I choose to make of it. I don’t wear my singleness as a badge of honor. I wear it as a fact. As well, I’ve accepted the fact that until I meet that special guy, I’ll continue living my life, taking my vacations, working on my mind, body, and spirit and preparing myself for the mate who compliments what I’ve become, as well as who and what I aspire to be.
This book has been an evolution of sorts. It has challenged me to think about what’s important to me as a single woman. As well, I’ve examined the decisions I’ve made or didn’t make in my own pursuit of love and happiness. I’ve found that sometimes I was right and sometimes I was wrong. I mean, no one’s right all the time. Ultimately, isn’t that what the journey is about? Truly, I’ve learned a lot in the process. So much so, that I had to put it into a book. I now know that being in a loving, fulfilling relationship does not happen by chance, but it happens through commitment. I wasn't always committed to finding the kind of happiness that lasts a lifetime.
Like many single thirty-something women, I’ve been in a few serious relationships of my own. Having dated online, I’ve also had more “first” dates than I care to mention. Additionally, I’ve spent a great deal of time in conversation with single, as well as married couples and I’ve studied my own relationship patterns, which at last, lead me to seek professional help, because I realized that growing up with a drug-addicted mother and an equally absent drug-addicted father, had an effect on my dating life. If I didn’t get help to heal the pain of the past, I would forever be... (Get your copy to read more.)
Risks and challenges
There could be a delay with the editing or printing of the book. Depending on how much editing needs to be done, the project may be delayed by a few weeks to one month, but I promise to keep my backers updated and aware of all changes as they occur.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
