We're making a new record and the only way we can do it is with the help of the very people we're making it for.. You Guys! We're reaching out to our friends and family to help us fund our fourth, and most rocking, studio album. We've been a band for 6 years now, and after three self-made records, it's time to step it up and go all out.
This band started with an 89' Astro Van, two speakers, and a prayer. After finding a nice balance between gig pay and the end-of-the-night bar tab, we started writing our own music. We borrowed some money and bought a moving truck, two new speakers, and played every night somewhere would have us. We've recorded three albums and played somewhere around 1,000 shows since 2006. Needless to say we've been around, but all of that experience has brought us to this recording.
During our recent trip to Nashville we found some very talented people to work with, and we'll be recording in the same rooms that have seen some of the industry's best. With a bunch of new songs in tow, we'll pack up and head to Tennessee, where we'll stay for two weeks of intense magic making (recording). The money we're trying to raise will help us pay for the producer, engineers, studios, press, printing, and all of the other costs that come with putting together a project like this. In the end, it's all about the music and this will no doubt be the best we've ever made together.
In exchange for your help, we have put together a list of rewards to the right of this page. These are "thank yous" in the form of merchandise, performances, experiences, and shows. It's a unique way for us to offer things we'd normally never be able to share. Kickstarter follows an "all or nothing model." If we don't reach our goal we receive none of the pledges and the money is returned. For this reason, we've set our goal at a number we feel good about, even though it's far below the actual cost of the project. If we go over, (Hooray!) we'll still use the funds on this record to make it even better.
We laughed the whole time we made this, and we hope you got a kick out of it too. We know it's hard out there, so pass this video along if you know of anyone who could use a few minutes of ridiculousness in their lives; and thank you for your continued support... We'd be nothing if it weren't for our friends and fans.
