About this project
Uncle Argh NOIR
We are very lucky to have the opportunity to work with Scott Tolleson to release the second colorway of his popular Uncle Argh Mini Qee: Uncle Argh NOIR!
What's this project all about?
This Kickstarter project is intended to fund an exclusive grayscale colorway of Scott's 5" Uncle Argh Mini Qee. Toy2R will produce 500 pieces of the figure as a Tenacious Toys exclusive. The artwork is complete and Toy2R is ready to make the figures- all we have to do is raise the money and send it to them!
The money raised through this Kickstarter will fund the manufacture of the Uncle Argh NOIRs as well as the shipping costs to get them from Hong Kong to CA.
Who is Scott Tolleson?
Scott Tolleson is a Los Angeles artist who loves designing toys. He has self-produced a number of different figures like the Doc von Block figures, Tricycle Terror and his Otis and Otto sets. Scott designed one of the figures in Andrew Bell's Android Series 2, and Toy2R has also already produced one of his designs in the form of a 5" Mini Qee: the original Uncle Argh, which is now sold out.
What is Tenacious Toys?
Tenacious Toys is a NYC-based online designer toy shop. We sell art toys manufactured by dozens of different companies from all over the world. The items we sell are limited-edition collectibles: more art than toy, they are meant to be appreciated and admired by adult collectors. Our mission has grown and changed over the years to encompass the development and promotion of this genre of toys as well as the artists that design them.
What is Toy2R?
Toy2R is a Hong Kong based art toy manufacturer with a 15-year history in the designer toy industry. As one of the industry leaders, we trust Toy2R to create the finest art toys available. We work closely with Toy2RUSA to stock our shelves with a variety of beautiful art toys. The flagship product produced by Toy2R is the Qee: a platform toy that they make in several sizes, from 1.5 inches all the way up to giant 60 inch figures.
There is no additional shipping cost for any of our rewards, whether you live in the U.S. or any other country. I have worked those costs into the dollar amount of each reward.
Absolutely. As long as we can ship all your rewards to the same place, we can adjust the number of Argh NOIR figures you want. Just add $30 for each additional Argh, and shoot us an email or message to make double sure we see the increase and record the adjustment.
Same goes for sticker packs- if you want another sticker pack, just increase your pledge by $5.
Once May 1st hits (and assuming we hit 100% funding): money will transferred to us after 3 weeks. Then it goes directly to Toy2R to put the Arghs into production. Production on those figures will take about one month, give or take, and then shipping to the US will take 3 weeks. I would anticipate we'd be able to ship the Arghs to backers in August, but of course there could be delays of a few weeks.
As far as other rewards go: I will be making the stickers and t-shirts in May. Scott will be working on prints, sketches, paintings and customs starting in May. Obviously, making prints is faster than creating all the original art. Expect rewards to start shipping in June. Some may take longer: July/August for the higher-level rewards.
Updates about ALL rewards will be sent regularly whenever I have information to share.
