Honestly, I'm following Kickstarter's goal parameters for what has the best chance of success. I would love to do a full deck, but financially I have to focus on paying projects and tarot decks are more a labor of love (publishers don't pay advances, niche market, etc). I would really like to be able to give this art priority and bring something of this deck into reality now instead of relegating it to a spare time project for years. On an independent deck, you might think of the number of unique art prints you're getting for the price -- it's really more like a collectible portfolio from the artist.
As a textbook introvert, I have to admit the words "marketing" and "self promotion" make me stammer and sweat, so if my shy and ghostly networking allows me to reach my current goal, I'll be hooting and doing the happy dance until the downstairs neighbor complains.
