With 3 days left, we have reached our minimum, and we are now going for double our goal, $5,000! This will allow us to put up a performance in three additional locations in the US (Cleveland, New Haven, Boulder CO)! There are very real production costs we must take care of (airplane tickets, hall rental, etc.), but the benefits of reaching more audiences will be invaluable to the expansion of our duo's career!
Come join us and our fantastic group of backers to make this project greater than its present scope!
NEW REWARD at the $250 and $2,000 level!! Check it out below!

My sister Jamila and I have been performing together since we were kids.
We've come a long way since then, each of us performing around the world and allowing music to guide us on our separate journeys. Even though we live 1400 miles apart, we've always returned to performing together. We've made our New York debut, have been invited to perform at the 3rd annual Accidental Music Festival in Orlando, FL, and will perform as soloists with the Symphonic Orchestra of Guanajuato in Mexico in 2014 .
Our kinship and passion for performing together has lead us to take the next step as a professional ensemble - commissioning rising-star composer Michael Brown to write a major new work just for us. Having a signature piece that is truly our own will give us more opportunities to perform, record, and make a name for ourselves in the world of new classical music.
Together we've raised $2000 toward the commission. We need your help to raise the rest. Our goal is to pay for the rest of the commission by selling 100 tickets to our premiere performances of the piece in Orlando and Tampa, Fl this November. If we surpass our minimum goal and reach $4000, we'll be able to secure a venue for a performance of the piece in New York during the 2013-14 concert season.
Thanks for your support! We'll update this page as the campaign continues, and hopefully we'll see you soon!
Risks and challenges
We know how much trust it takes to back a Kickstarter project, so we are keeping our rewards simple. If you back us at the $25 level, you will receive a reserved seat at one of our concerts and a DVD of the premiere of the new commission at the Timucua White House. Timucua produces DVDs of every concert held there, and they are typically ready within one to two weeks. We've set aside ten percent of our goal toward the cost of order fulfillment, so as long as we reach our goal, we'll be able to pay for the commission, produce and ship the DVDs, and put on a great show!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
