About
It started with a song by Leonard Nimoy and a Bugs Bunny cartoon...
Seven years ago, the song "Naked Under Leather" from the group Rubber Band Banjo began what was to become a Parsec-winning podcast of an award-winning novel from Dragon Moon Press.

I’m Tee Morris and I’m one of the authors behind the award-winning steampunk series, The Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences. I am also the author of The Billibub Baddings Mysteries, the first of these — The Case of the Singing Sword — an Honorable Mention from ForeWord Magazine’s Best Fiction of 2005 and winner of the 2008 Parsec Award for Best Audio Drama. Billi has been a favorite of my readers since his debut in 2004, and since his last case — The Case of the Pitcher’s Pendant in 2008 — readers have asked “Where’s the next Billi?”
So today, seven years after The Singing Sword’s first episode and a decade after the dwarf detective’s print premiere, I present this Kickstarter for The Curse of Dillinger’s Diamond: A Billibub Baddings Mystery.
Goals
This Kickstarter, its pledge levels, and its goals, we’re keeping simple. If we make our goal of $15,000, The Curse of Dillinger’s Diamond will be the next mystery in the Billibub Baddings canon.
Why $15000?
This goal will cover all costs for the production — both digital and print — for not only this new Billibub Baddings mystery but also for new print runs on the previous mysteries. Funds will also go for editing costs, interior layout, and cover design. If the demand for a third Billibub Baddings mystery is there, and we make this goal, then I will produce that mystery and deliver it a year from today. That’s what you can expect at $15000.
At a stretch goal of $20000, Billibub’s mysteries — all three of them — will be made available on Audible. And if the demand is bigger than I expect, and we make an incredible stretch goal of $30,000?
Well, let’s see if we can make this modest $15000 goal first.
So what can you do to help make this mystery happen?
Share this Kickstarter on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social networks of choice. Blog or podcast about your own memories of the dwarf detective. Above all, review The Case of the Singing Sword and The Case of the Pitcher’s Pendant on your blog, your podcast, Amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, and other eBook vendors. Get people curious about Billi, and then get them reading. With your help, you can bring Billi back to print.
Thanks for joining me on this journey back to the Windy City of the 1930’s. I’m Tee Morris, and I hope to see you at the end of this Kickstarter with plans for The Curse of Dillinger’s Diamond.
Risks and challenges
My first project was The Ministry Initiative, held this past summer between May and June of 2013. We made our goal of $20,000, cleared it, and ended with over $30,000 at the end of the Kickstarter run. We were able to deliver our anthology on time and are now hearing feedback on not only the works it features but on the quality of the book and our professionalism in staying in touch with our investors. This project we intend to bring the same level of service and commitment to our potential backers, delivering The Curse of Dillinger's Diamond on February 14, 2015.
