Ted Kluck has written more than 25 books, on topics ranging from the church to Mike Tyson. He's written satire and memoir. He's written about adoption and sports fandom. But to date, Ted has not published a definitive collection of essays. That's about to change.
Help us kickstart A Hard Thing on a Beautiful Day, a collection of more than 80 essays on life, sports, pop culture, and everything in between. And if you've loved Ted's quick wit and comic sense on "The Happy Rant Podcast" and "The Gut Check Podcast," you'll find plenty of that as well. What I'm saying is, Ted will make you laugh and Ted will make you cry or your money back. Actually, you don't get your money back, but I'll shoot you a strongly worded e-mail about why you should have laughed and cried.
And speaking of shooting, we are shooting for a release date of July 1, 2019. Ted's own imprint, Gut Check Press, is publishing. If you know anything about Gut Check, you know we've been inclined in the past to cut some corners here and there (cheap fonts, public domain images, etc.) But this book is different. It deserve to be packaged and presented for what it is: a collection of glimpses inside Ted's mind, heart, and life, wonderfully written and spanning more than a decade.
If you're a fan of Ted Kluck's writing, please help us raise the needed capital up front.
Risks and challenges
Kickstarter wants me to put in risks and challenges here. The good news: there aren't any. Actually, I guess the real risk is you not helping fund the project and then later being wracked with regret for not getting on this train.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
