100% REACHED! THANK YOU!!
We made it. The DreamBox is going to the Burning Man Playa and beyond!! We want to thank every one of you who who pledged, shared and tweeted this system into existence. We have been working day and night behind the scenes to prep this thing. Once the countdown reaches zero, we are excited to fully reveal Project DreamBox.
Meanwhile, pledges are still welcome. Believe it or not we are still over budget because we underestimated solar and transportation costs.
Your dream can come true, if you simply share it with others. Thank you for making our dream come true by supporting the DreamBox.
With love, The DreamTeam

WHAT WOULD IT TAKE TO MAKE YOUR LIFE-LONG DREAMS COME TRUE?
We have a theory: If you know your life-long dream then you can live life with direction. If you share your dream with your friends then they may be able to help you achieve it.
But imagine if you could share your dream with an online community of thousands of people. The right listener could easily reach out to you, lend you a hand, and before you knew it you could be living your life-long dream.
We aim to make this possible, and it all starts with a Dream Box.
What is The DreamBox?
The Dream Box is a solar powered video booth that allows people to privately record their life-long dream into an HD camera controlled by a touch screen interface. When recording your dream you have the option to enter your contact info so that people who watch your dream can directly get in touch with you if they want to help.
But this is only the beginning of a much bigger plan.
PROJECT DREAMBOX is a social experiment based on the premise that our collective humanity is a powerful portend of positive change. Using the Dream Box as the launching point, we aim to create a web series, a documentary and possibly an entire DreamMakers website/network. Here's how it works:
First: We build a solar powered video booth designed to capture people dreams. Because it is solar powered, this video can be placed anywhere, functioning 24 hours a day, allowing hundreds of people to share their dream.
Second: We edit your dreams into a completely unique and inspiring web series. In this web series, we will break videos up into themes such as personal, health, world, science, philosophy, art, politics and comedy. We will launch the serious on a platform designed to go viral. Once launched, viewers will have the opportunity to directly contact the dreamers, in order to lend a helping hand. We believe we can literally make dreams come true this way. But we feel that this project is too interesting to stop there...
Third: We shooting a documentary of the entire process. Thats right. No matter what happens, you will get the chance to see a film that starts at Burning Man, goes into the streets of the city and hopefully ends with miracles as we discover that dreams can come true if you simply share them with others because, as a global community, we all look out for one another.
Bonus: If this project works, we will create an online network of dream makers which will give everyone in the world the opportunity to share their dream in hopes that someone out there will lend them a hand. It will also serve as a collaborative platform used to create world movements and social change.
In order to make all of this, we first need your pledge so that we can build the DreamBox.
WHERE will the Dream Box go?
The Dream Box is solar-powered, so we can put it anywhere. Our initial location will be the 2012 Burning Man festival. Burning Man is a festival that lasts for seven days and consists of 60,000 extremely creative and deep-thinking dreamers from every corner of the world. The Dream Box will operate at this festival 24-hours a day for the entire week, allowing us to capture what we hope will be THOUSANDS of dreams. After Burning Man, we plan on bringing it to a sidewalk near you. If you have an idea for a location email email@example.com and we will do our best to get it there.
What's in the DreamBox?
This is not your ordinary photo booth. The Dream Box is completely custom designed from the ground up, combining todays latest technology with zombie-proof security. It's an eight foot steel cube that glows at night and shines during the day. It features an HD camera and interactive touch screen that allows you to see vide of yourself, rehearse your dream, and type in all of your contact info. The entire thing contains an intricate lighting system accompanied by an LED soft box as well as an infra red camera to detect motion and stitch between sleep and active mode. Its built to convert sunlight into power and last through the night without ever dying. It also features a green screen. This allows us to swap out the background with cinematographic video that thematically supports your dream. It is a system that we plan on using for years to come.
This video shows you exactly how it works:

THE (award winning) VIDEO WE MADE LAST YEAR:
Still don't understand why we are starting this at Burning Man? Check out this sweet video by Davoli and Galli.
DreamBox and its affiliated pages © Tedshots Productions 2012
We aim to begin editing the short films in mid September. As for the Documentary, this may take up to a year because the whole process takes time and we need to follow the lives of individuals as their dreams begin to come true.
Why not? Why be afraid? You have nothing to lose and your dreams to gain.
There is no right or wrong dream.
Dont leave your info. Some dreams are best expressed as philosophy or worldly ideas. You can easy share these without giving up your identity. Just wear a scarf and sunglasses. It's all up to you.
First off, you CAN give us leave your dream by going to http://dreamboxproject.org and submitting it. Second, if this proves sucessful, we aim to create an online community which will allow people all over the world to share their dreams in the hope that someone will help them make it come true.
For the dreams recorded at Burning Man the green screen will be replaced with a "scene" related to your dream. This can be anything from a beautiful timeless landscape of the Burning Man temple, or a crowd of people dancing.
For the dreams recorded in various cities the green screen will show a backdrop related to your location., For example, example the dreams recorded at a beach location will have ocean, sand, sunsets, art, or even graffiti.
