Opening all those shrink wrapped card packs

There are a lot of card packs to open, and to ensure you don't damage your cards when opening them, I suggest you use the methods shown in the videos below, which gently breaks the plastic shrink wrap.

In the first video, I'm even a little more rough than you should be (and I was doing it with one hand while holding the camera with the other), but it still kept the cards nice and damage-free.

In this next video, I show how to open an artpack much more carefully. First I found which edge has the seam of the plastic, then I rubbed back and forth a few times in order to break the seam. Once the seam had a break, I was able to peel off the plastic. Again, I had to do this with one hand...it's much easier with two!

Because the cards have print up to the edges, using a fingernail to open the packs could result in damaging the cards, so please be careful as you open them...take a few extra seconds to be gentle with the cards!

Thanks for these videos! I always wonder how much more expensive it is to get one of those ribbon things that wrap around card packs and make them super easy to open. Not faulting you as I only see them once in a blue moon, so I'm guessing it must be pricey. Would love to know how much pricier it is though if anyone knows.

One of my Art Packs "George Patsouras", two of the villagers were damaged as it looks like the card wasn't cut from the sheet right. Though having ordered all the art packs, I don't think I have a shortage of villagers.

I recommend the fantasty flight 2.5 x 3.5 card sleeves. They are expensive but high quality and fit these cards perfects. I wish the box fix all the cards + artpacks sleeved in but the box is just a little too small :(

Yup, I need sleeves suggestions too. @Beziars Games I sent 2 emails on two cards that had issues. Thanks.

Got mine unpacked, yay! My sympathies to 500+ brave souls who ordered all artpacks ;^)

On a completely unrelated note, which sleeves would folks recommend?

Haven't gotten mine yet (located in Texas not sure if that is far from the sender), but I will definitely use these methods. Thanks so much, Ted!

I used my knife, being pretty careful not to cut the cards but this is a pretty clever idea.

Much appreciated videos! I sometimes get over-anxious to get these packs open, this is a good reminder and tip to take my time. Excited to get mine!

No issues opening packs here. My only issues is my zombie card had its corner cut short so it looks like a hanging chad and is easily recognized.

I love how practical some of your updates are Ted. Thank you!
