Each kit makes 10 bow ties that come in three assorted colors and designs. All kits come with color changing Party Flash LED lights. Choose from these color combinations:

The "Elegance" Kit

The "Blues" Kit

The "Formal" Kit

And... They're back!

Last year I launched TechnoChic DIY Light-Up Paper Flower Kits on Kickstarter. Now, I'm bringing them back and they're better than ever - NOW Light-Up Paper Flower Pins come with PARTY FLASH LED's!

Mix and match the flower petals to create your design. Thread the petals, attach the battery and pin, and wear! Detailed printed instructions come with each kit. I'll also make an instructional video to watch online.

For too long, creators have identified with a certain type of skill set - either hard skills like soldering and robotics or soft skills like knitting and sewing. These two groups rarely crossed, and that same line has often been drawn between genders. TechnoChic shatters these conventions by providing a resource for crafters to explore technology, and techies to explore craft.
Incorporating electronics and engineering principals into crafts (where most women fall in love with making things) could ignite a major shift in balancing the gender gap in STEAM fields.
TechnoChic DIY tech-craft kits provide a path to discover a love of technology through easy and fun craft projects that focus on small positive experiences that can be built upon easily.
The most common question after building a TechnoChic project is "Wow - what can I build next?"

I have worked hard to find quality materials and capable businesses to help me complete this project. The most expensive piece of the project is overcoming the high costs of custom cutting and stamping dies, and running them on the manufacturing equipment: professional die cutting and foil stamping presses. This type of process is expensive to set up, then the more you buy the cheaper it gets per piece.
These are the dies I had made with the help of my last Kickstarter project - aren't they pretty? I feel so lucky to be working with such cool manufacturing processes, and I love sharing my adventure with my backers!

Breakdown of money:
I've done all the math to figure out how much every piece of this project will cost. Here's a breakdown of the costs by category:

Risks and challenges
I'M PREPARED TO MAKE THIS PROJECT GREAT!
I've worked very hard to foresee the costs, risks and challenges the project will face. I will be relying on manufacturers and suppliers that have been working with me to determine the costs and timelines for this project. I believe they will be able to provide their products and services within the timeline of this campaign. If anything unforeseen happens, I promise to keep excellent communication, and clearly define any changes. :)
The road to a product can be bumpy or smooth - but I hope you'll join me and enjoy the ride! I love sharing my process with backers, so I hope you'll find backing this campaign interesting and fun!
NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL BACKERS:
Some countries may charge you a customs fee to receive your shipment. Please contact me if you need help determining if a customs fee applies and how much it will be. Your items will ship from Jersey City, New Jersey, USA.
I'd like to be honest and say that international shipments are tricky and some get stuck in the mail or come back to me - it's just unfortunately the way it is. If an item is returned to me, I will refund the cost of the kit minus the cost of shipping (because I have already spent that money). Thanks for your understanding!
