THE FINAL PUSH
2,000 people pre-ordering the Deconstructing Dinner series for $25 = success! That's all we need! (And we already have 1,900 fans on facebook!!!)
131 people have already backed this project which represents 15% of our funding. Thank you thank you thank you! BUT.... we still need the help from you and your network of food-loving family and friends. Please continue helping us spread the word by sending them this link: http://kck.st/KtSgLE.
We also just put in a week of filming in New York to take advantage of the seasonality of the foods we're featuring. We spent 3 days with Michael Anthony (the James Beard 'Best Chef in NYC') and had an amazing time with chef Heather Carlucci. Check out the pics from our time at Gramercy Tavern (featured in our last update). The trip went AMAZING!
Also exciting was a great testimonial we received as part of the Pitch a Show contest hosted by the Toronto Star...
"Deconstructing Dinner has more program potential. It is a fascinating look at how we eat and it could work on any media platform." - Jeffrey Dvorkin, former chief journalist for the CBC and former ombudsman for NPR
Thanks again to everyone who has contributed to the project and to those of you who have helped in spreading the word!
In good food,
