If you are here, you undoubtedly have an interest in all things Jeep®. So do we. Back in 2012 the first Azzy’s Design Works gauge kit was installed, in our own 96 Cherokee® XJ. Then someone asked, “Can you make them for a 97 Cherokee or a Wrangler? Being backlit, it challenged everything we knew about the print industry and the materials we used in shop. Fast forward to today. We have kits installed in Jeeps in 12 countries and territories. We have worked with prominent manufacturers to make their show jeeps come alive, most notably JCR Offroad’s Project Realhawk.
Yet one thing was still missing, if we were to take our custom designs, worn by some of the coolest custom Jeeps out there, to the current generation of Jeep, the JK and JKU. That piece… a direct to surface, or flatbed printer. These units are large, expensive, and seldom seen outside sign manufacture’s shops. In order to produce a great product and keep our flexibility, this new line demands to be produced in house.
To accomplish this, and at the same time grow our small business, we looked to Roland printers and their Versa UV LEF printers. Since the TeamADW shop resides in our Finleyville home, we needed a printer that was enclosed and had filtration that protects the air in the household. We needed something small enough to fit in the shop, and at the same time, big enough that we could keep up with production as needed on any model vehicle gauge, be it a 4 door Wrangler®, Grand Cherokee®, or even someone’s classic 52 Willy’s cruiser. Your funding will not only get you a great looking gauge, but will help to ensure that our doors remain open for some time to come.
So we look to you Jeep® nation.. are you willing to help us, a small, classically built US company grow from a weekend business to one that produces cool accessories for the world 5 days a week? We humbly ask to not only buy into one of our rewards levels, but to pass this campaign on to your off-roading clubs, local dealer or outfitter, and all your facebook, instagram, and twitter friends. What will your funds go to? First and foremost, they will go to filling the rewards levels. Part of that will be the purchase of a Roland LEF-12 or 20 UV ink printer. We are also upgrading our laser capability, to produce blanks faster than ever.
Our current lineup-
- Rally, white faced gauges. Adds a simple level of readability in low light conditions.
- Overlord, based on our current Wrangler gauges, these offer a vintage look and feel, similar to many military trucks. Available in Desert Tan A very popular design for those with the Willy's styling package.
- Don't Tread On Me, 'nuff said. For your III% JK Build.
- Outbreak, a must have for any Zombie Apocalypse build.
And a stretch goal! We have been working with Moon Shine Camo to license their fantastic lineup, and if we hit 17K, those patterns will be available to the campaign for no extra charge to all gauge levels. If not, then they will be a $10 upgrade.
What are those models?
We've made these over the past few years as conversation pieces and prizes, sliced up 3D models, tweaked, and cut on our laser equipment. Enough people said they were interested in a large version, so we have now offered 2 sizes. 1/4 scale, made from acrylic and birch, and 1/2, made from metal (acrylic possible, contact us first). Both will be LED lit, and a choice of Wrangler JK, Cherokee XJ, and Comanche MJ.
Regardless of your funding level, we will contact you after with a survey asking what design you prefer, and to verify your shipping address.

Risks and challenges
In any project, there are risks. We are confident in our supply chain. We deal with local suppliers when possible, and national companies when not. Our T-Shirt printer is a local Pittsburgh company, and we currently produce this shirt for sale at our shows. Our other rewards are created in house on our laser, and in case backup tooling is needed, we plan on utilizing Pittsburgh Techshop in order to meet deadlines.
We have the delivery and training that goes with the new printer, but have been working with the dealer to develop templates so we can get on production quickly. All of this will be shown on our updates, instagram and facebook feeds.
Although both of us at ADW work full time jobs in addition, we are confident that with our current workload and the support of family and friends, we will fulfill all orders as indicated. If there are any delays due to volume, we will be open and honest about the delay, updating timetables, and how we are working to deliver on our promises.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
