About this project
What do you do when the darkness of your soul threatens to overwhelm the light?
Peto is a stone golem, a magical creature brought to life under mysterious circumstances. The MechMagus is a robotic wizard who discovers Peto in the wilderness. Befriended by the very robots he was created to destroy, Peto must find a way to overcome his nature and be the person he chooses to be.
Rock & Tin is an uplifting story about a personal journey towards redemption and the value of sacrifice.
As a backer of this project, you will help me fulfill my dream of bringing quality, unique, and uplifting stories to print in comics.
What are they saying about Rock & Tin?
"...a wonderfully touching story about conflict, guilt, redemption, anguish and betrayal... I took the time to read it at least three times since and I have not been disappointed. In fact, I want more.” - Kurtis Sasso, TGT Media.
"If there's ever any doubt that comics can appeal on levels from the simplest viewing of the art all the way to deep, philosophical, moral, and existential discussions, then look no further than Rock and Tin." - Tom Racine, Tall Tale Radio

How to Add On to your Kickstarter Pledge
- Click the "Manage your pledge" green button under the total funds collected amount in the upper right corner of the page.
- Increase your pledge amount in the Pledge Amount box by the total amount of add-ons you are adding.
- Do not change the tier amount, unless you want to change your reward. If you do, you still need to make sure and adjust the pledge amount up for add ons.
After the campaign ends, you will get a survey where you can explain how you want the extra money allocated to add on items. That's all!

What I Need & What You Get
I've asked for the minimum amount of funds in order to print a 50-copy first run of the book. If I exceed the goal and collect more, I will print more books in hopes of getting them into more hands, as well as getting them into some local libraries.
Regardless of the level you support, you'll receive some nice rewards. Everyone gets a signed and numbered bookplate in the Kickstarter version of the book. In addition, you can choose to get a sketch on the bookplate of Peto or MechMagus. Every order gets a "Stay Safe!" sticker and a bookmark, too.
All printed book orders get access to the PDF version.
How to Order
Choose a "reward" displayed on the right side of this page. This will be the package you wish to receive for your support. Adjust your pledge to your liking, and choose a shipping option. Enter your payment information, and you're done!

Other Ways You Can Help
If you can't buy a book or PDF, you can still help by telling others about my project. Artists like me very much depend on word-of-mouth to let people know our work is out there.
Risks and challenges
This is the second time I have Kickstarted a book, so I have experience in the process. This is a much smaller effort than the Marooned campaign. The book is already complete and ready for print, and I have a very good idea of the number of orders to expect up front. The funding goal is attached to that number. If my goal is not reached, your money is returned.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
