About

In Cyber Siege, each player is a hacker trying to gain control of the system through the use of Programs. Once you get all your bytes of data into the System, you have taken control. Cyber Siege is a game that uses temporary alliances, strategy, and program actions to advance your own agenda and attack whichever other player you think is your biggest competition. Discussion, deals, persuasion, and even temporary treaties are allowed and encouraged. Turns are fast in this game, but there is still strategic depth. Players will attempt to take control of Programs to gain special abilities which will either help themselves or hurt their opponents. This game is full of laughs and sure to please any gamer whether you're looking for deep strategy or just looking to have fun.

Be the first player get all your bytes of data from your Hard Drive into the System!

Cyber Siege consists of several game rounds separated into three phases:

1: Install Phase: Players take turns installing bytes of data into one of many programs in order to take majority control and take the programs action.

2: Execution Phase: Players take turns executing programs. Each program has a special ability that either helps yourself or hurts one of your opponents. But because the scoring is hidden no one knows for sure who is winning, therefor deflection and collusion to change who to attack is an open table discussion.

3: Packet Generation Phase: Players simultaneously generate there data packet (the number of bytes of data they will get to install on the following round) based upon the actions executed by the program.

Genre: Area control, Worker placement, Strategy

Megan Lucke:

"Cyber Siege is a delightful take on an area control game that offers entertaining, if somewhat devious, player interaction. The variety of starting tile permutations and potential tactics invites misdirection, careful calculation, and even occasional cooperation among players. The game runs perfectly well with three players, but really hits its stride with 4 or 5 as the additional players allow for more single round alliances and betrayals to arise. Combining tactics, calculated interactions, and an enjoyable meta, Cyber Strike deserves a solid A."

Nicholas Spyrison:

"Cyber Siege features a refreshing dynamic between board presence and game progression. Use social misdirection to draw attention to others while you fly under the radar to take the game by surprise! The near inexhaustible number of permutations of tiles and new players does wonders for the replay value. This game has player appeal, interesting mechanics and is highly expandable. All who play are eager to see the next latest and greatest iteration."

Dave Lindholm:

"Cyber Siege is an abstract strategy game of area control, worker placement, and secret economy. With all the different tiles available, customizing the play is very easy. In that aspect it reminds me of dominion because you can choose the feel of the game by what tiles you play with. I love the secret scoring mechanic of guessing who is in the lead. Positioning your bytes while making alliances is very fun and engaging."

Marc Benesh:

"It’s great! But here are some reasons why: 1) Replay ability - The variety of tiles means you can have a different mix each game. 2) Interaction – players and their bytes interact. Players have a direct process that might thwart an opponent’s strategy. 3) Simplicity - easy to learn, but still has a complex variety of strategies to win. From a production standpoint, I think a publisher could get a lot of bang for the buck. There could be some different expansions made as well as different levels of pieces."

Will Faber:

"Cyber Siege is now one of my favorite games. When it becomes available for purchase I will be the first buyer. It is very interactive, and I am constantly trying to make alliances and trying to hurt who I think is in first. I love the player interaction and the gameplay. If I were to be asked how I would change the game I wouldn’t be able to suggest any changes, that’s how well thought out this game is. Thank you for creating it and letting me play."

Paul Mason:

"The best part of Cyber Siege is the variability.  A tile that seems overpowered in one game may get weakened when playing with a new different tile.  Overall this is a great "action selection?" game.  I enjoy trying to find the “killer combos” for that game.  There is a lot of player interaction.  You may attack the perceived leader while the quiet player is slowly getting rid of all their bytes."

Programs are separated into two categories, White and Black. White programs help you win. Black Programs help you control the board and attack your opponents.

Risks and challenges

The risks I foresee in this project is shipping costs and getting the game to backers within the time frame. I am using an American manufacturer call The Game Crafter that eliminated a significant amount of risk, and lowered the quantity of games needed to be sold. Unfortunately this increased the cost per unit.
