Day 21: Cornered

Hey everyone,

Did you have a good weekend? It's been amazing here in England, the hottest days of the year so far!

More amazingly though is the fact we have now reached 3000 backers, your comments and willingness to spread the campaign never cease to amaze me.

I've received so many amazing photos this week I can't get them all in this update, but I will continue to share them over the coming days, so keep them coming!

Greg and Paul join the ranks of stacking champions, amazing job guys! It looks like we might actually reach our goal.

I'm not sure whether the lizard is fighting for or against Vesh, but our heroes may have a challenge either way! Fantastic job Jon.

      Bad Luck

All rolls of luck dice must be ignored in the same and all adjacent map tiles of the creature.

    2. Genus Solo 7 days ago

      Flying

Creature ignores all kind of traps

    3. Nick "Grand Vizier of Kilforth" Hughes 7 days ago

Pavise - The Creatures Shield is increased by how far away it's attacker is. Example: Brutius is attacking from three tiles away the Creature with Pavise increases their Shield by 3. If a Hero is in the same space as the Creature this ability provides no benefit.

    4. Chris Lane 7 days ago

Big Head - All attacks by this creature are spread attacks [because it can calculate all the needed trajectories to hit everyone] instead of solo attacks, but when you attack it, you have a better chance of hitting it critically (Roll 1 extra luck die).

We're up to 14 abilities, there are some great ideas being shared!

I always come back to these for inspiration when designing so thank you for contributing!

      Manic Rush
The creature rushes to attack the priority target for their basic attack +2 before taking a move action

    7. Genus Solo on May 14

      „Raiding X“

Discard X resources of your choice of each worker on the same or adjacent map tile.

      Marking territ...¡¡¡Pee, I'm peeeing!!!
The monster leaves a mark in any tile he ends his turn on. In case that any player step on any marked tile the monster will move inmediately to that tile in order to defend his territory because, you know... he peed there first!

Burrow - the creator burrows underground this turn and can't be hit. On the creatures next turn, you resolve a move action and if the creature pops up on a space occupied by a hero, it does X damage. (X to be determined by creator).

There are some really great abilities here, I really love reading peoples ideas, so much inspiration and some of them could easily make it into the game one day! Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.

      I believe we're now on 10!

      Vesh‘s Experimental Potions
      Special Ability
When drinking the potion they change all their powers into new powers. You can never know what surprise awaits you next with the Darkhand‘s creations...

Mating cry - draw one movement card and place a threat token in that space

More powerful variant might involve also moving a threat token from each adjacent space (if any) to the selected space.

I'm still recovering from reading Noah's ability, excuse me......

    15. Bullwey on May 7

I forgot, the Totem can be attacked, of course (and has some nasty reflect-damage)

      Leif on May 7

Rusty slaver - for each attack on this creature heroes have to spend one arm/weapon resource stored in the old barn to renew their equipment.

Besieger - the creature charges to the City of Kings by moving one tile west and one tile south, each if possible. If it arrives the City unattacked, the City loses one morale (in the creature's next attack phase).

Fisherman's Foe - as soon as a worker with fish in store comes in visible range of the creature it instantly heads to this worker and consumes the fish. [This is a new kind of attribute which may activate only during the active player's turn if certain criteria is given.]

Fisherman's Fee - the creature moves to the worker with the biggest pile of fish in range and consumes the fish. If none is available, it moves one field to the nearest fish resource tile.

Beggars' daggers - the creature moves one tile towards the nearest shop. In case it is already placed on a shop, players use one scavenge die to define the resource the creature begs for. The threat symbol means, that the creature begs for an equipment card available in the shop by the players' choice. If players decide not to donate the begged resource (or if they can't), two threat symbols are added to this tile.

Trap-Clap - Adds +X shield, where X is half the heroe level. When attacked the creature instantly moves one tile towards the nearest structure tile (trap/fort/camp). Traps inflict double damage, but the creature demolishes camps and forts.

    17. Allison B on May 7

Creeping ice: the monster places a strong ice tile on the priority target and weak ice tiles on the surrounding tiles.

    18. Bullwey on May 7

Lightning Totem (X): draw 1 Position Card and place the Totem-token on the location indicated. In the beginning of each combat round the Totem shoots a Lighning towards any heroe who is NOT the priority target of the creature, reducing the current Life by (X) and pushing it (X) tiles towards the creature

Day 20 - wow, I did that without even being told! :) It was a beautiful day yesterday, went out and had fun at my LGS, walked a little, and cuddled with both my puppy and my boyfriend! What a good day :)

Perfect Half Shield - this monster can only be damaged if 2 characters are flanking it and hitting from opposite directions in a single turn. Being hit from one single direction, and all damage will be reduced to zero. If flanked, all damage is applied normally.

Rancid spew and move . The monster spews foul rancid barf from its mouth covering the victim ! It's so slimy it temporarily limits your movement by one point to a limit of one . It stinks so bad no other player can move into your square ! The monster loves the smell so much as long as your covered in its stench it will move one space toward you every round !

Halitosis - The creature's breath is so bad that all heroes within range will get one damage.

Bouncy castle: Successful attacks against this creature cause the hero to fall back 1 space.

calling it "Flappy Bird" was of course not done as that would be a possible trademark violation :-)

    26. Missing avatar

Flappy Rush: Olok rushes forward towards a hero. The hero gets knocked back to an adjacent square and loses one turn as they need to get up.
