Hey everyone, happy Saturday!

I hope you all have some great plans for the weekend and are enjoying a few games to celebrate international tabletop day!

Live Stream

I'm pleased to confirm I will be live streaming on Wednesday and intend to walk through some of the basics of both The City of Kings and Vadoran Gardens whilst answering your questions. You can submit questions in advance and get a notification of the stream going live here:

 The School of Games

Day 9: Have you ever wanted to write a side quest? Then submit your idea here and it might make it into the game (with credit going to you), not to mention you can help complete the Day 9 quest!

Day 10: Perhaps this was a little too hard? As we're still looking for some answers! As of now, I'm opening the comments section of this update up for answers too. Feel free to post them here.

Day 11: How well do you know Vadoran Gardens? I've had a few correct answers submitted, but before I give it away, does anyone else want to try and work out the score in this game?

Congratulations to Cory!

The day 7 stacking quest has proven to be much harder than I expected, so I'm going to be celebrating everyone who completes the 16-token challenge. Today a massive congratulations goes to Cory! The second person to successfully tackle the quest.

Day 12:

And now, for the next quest!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone, and good luck!

      The Eye
These creatures have had their eyes merge into one. A mess of melted skin, scales, or sometimes exoskeleton surrounds what is now an enlarged eyeball that is the composite of the creatures former, individual, eyes. Tending to run in packs, the Eye function as a hivemind thus, even when a single creature's eye is blinded, the pack can always see.

Part of the true horror of the Eye is that any creature can become one. Originally corrupted by Vesh, the Eye now spread their curse like a virus. Once infected, it is difficult to tell the difference between a simple crusted eye infection until the body and mind start to change.

Be careful. That spider spinning its web in the corners might be a spy for its larger-bodied pack waiting in the shadows just outside the warm firelight of this Inn.

I think we're up to 5 creatures, so that's option a of Day 12 complete!

The answer to Day 11 was 63, which several people correctly got so well done!

Caterpillar Men, like a centaur, but all caterpillar. They stand up, their first set of legs are actually arms and the rest form a long line behind the creature. They live in the forests and make their homes amongst the gnarled roots of gigantic trees. They are a peaceful creature and are in need of protection from Vesh.

As we want to win Day 11 I would suggest that Pixies are a creature type ;)

Creature, obviously there should be some sort of centaurs in the world but, I would imagine a tall top half humanoid lower half quadruped, the arms of the man that go almost to the ground completely covered in fur, legs are all bulky and muscular all covered in rough course fur almost wolf-like with a head of a goat called Bob.

Well for me...Mirabel could be a hero but also a creature. It all depends on whether the hero she is accompanying can keep her on the right side of things. I think it is interesting to create creatures that are not so simply evil. She is at the crossroads and if not "cared for" could go to the dark side.
Might be a whole scenario or quest in there somewhere.
Depending on how successful the hero is determines which Mirabel is unlocked.
      :-)

Ah shoot, I must have read the quest wrong! I thought we were making enemies, not potential heroes!!! Dammit, put a lot of thought into that...

The Scales of Sargoth - Not content with corrupting all the creatures across the land, Vesh turned his eyes towards the Sea. Using his Dark magicks, Vesh drained Oceans and captured the peaceful Merfolk that reside at the bottom, and in his alchemist laboratories changed them into horrors barely recognisable as their former selves. Where once their bodies glistened as light struck opaque scales, now it resembled burnt skin. Flaking as they move. Colourful fins that adorned the heads shrivelled into antennae used to sense more magic for Vesh to steal. Eyes that used to shine as bright as pearls they would find in clams, now grey and glazed over as the fish they'd killed the day before. Legs sprung forth from the front of the abdomen, a forced mutation Vesh willed upon them so they could travel on land as they did in the sea. However, it did seem to be a surprise for the agents of Vesh when the Merfolk they'd captured ran on all fours instead of upright as humans, maybe the corruption had rid them of their souls and made them little more than the beasts we hunt. Lastly, in order to prove to whom they belonged, tattoos of the Mark of Sargoth, one of Vesh's most trusted Alchemists was forced upon every Merfolk's Tail-fin. As big as they are to allow them to swim, it must have been quite a task to perform. I suppose, as it IS their main line of defence, Sargoth must have wanted all of his enemies to know it was him who sent them to their graves, be they on water or land, as the muscular flail crushes them.

      Mirabel - A Pixie
She is small, oddly beautiful and such a happy spirit. Of course, like all other pixies, looks can be deceiving. Mirabel is tired of others within the realms believing pixies to be frail and weak. Yes, they are a small package but they can be fierce. Mirabel wants to be a fighter. She knows she has it in her. Just ask her sisters. Her other side is something to behold. When angered or threatened her size becomes immense, her beautiful shimmering colors of purple and blue become black as obsidian. Her lovely green eyes change color and her lovely delicate fingers become razor sharp claws.
Yes, Mirabel will prove to everyone she can be a fiighter. She can defend her people. Calamis just needs to give her a chance. A mission! That will do nicely. Maybe she could even accompany Calamis or Brutius as a companion, you know, a fighter hero in training. She would not want to go along with another female. For some reason they seem wary of her and at times down right rude. They're just jealous.

      LOL - that was fun!

      Sha‘Zraar‘s Forked Tongues
These lizard men were captured from the southern misted swamps of the Ageless Realms called Sha‘Zraar in the tongue of the natives. Red Liquid Lands in the Common Tongue. They are great and fierce warriors but they also prefer ambushes and Guerilla tactics. After they came out of Vesh‘s laboratories they were more savage, their green and red scales hardened, their claws and fangs sharper - and with their forked tongues they could now paralyse their victims, so they have to watch with panic as the Forked Tongues devour them. Cold yellow reptilian eyes showing no mercy or any other feeling than wild blood lust...

    13. Kellen Walsh on

Ok after seeing these stacking photos, do other people's wood have fairly flat edges? Most of mine are slightly sloped or have little bumps, so my group has never completed a single stacking challenge in game. I just assumed it's supposed to be incredibly hard but now I'm thinking maybe they are misformed? Any feedback from others on your stacking ability?

OMG! I only knew one answer for certain. It’s 5). For 2) I have two possible answers. One beginning with F the other with G and it’s two words.
But I‘m totally at loss with the other questions... :(
      And 3)
I would say that there are as many factions as possible characters.
      Ok, answer to 5)
