Colonel Liberty is a film about obsession:
A fan obsessed with his fictional boyhood hero, who is moved to violence when that character is "killed" in a crass marketing stunt.
A comic book author obsessed with his status as a critical embarrassment and a commercial success.
A fandom obsessed with the monetary value of the books they collect while simultaneously completely oblivious of their true value.
Colonel Liberty takes place in an alternate universe and we are creating, with the help of many very talented artists, an entire history to the character. The money that we raise on Kickstarter will help purchase or rent essential film equipment and to pay those involved in the filming. None of the money we raise will be going to the creators of this project. Like the theme of obsession within the film, the creators are obsessed with telling this story the best way that they can. And we need YOU in order to do it!
We will be posting updates throughout the campaign with additional artwork that is being created in order to flesh out this alternate universe and the character of Colonel Liberty. Check out a few of the images below.
