Towards the end of the previous Promenade project, several backers asked if the project is not funded, could they purchase Promenade review copies, knowing they are used. I had to say no because I felt uncomfortable selling used games, especially review edition with handwritten cubes. Besides, each review copy costs approximately $40 to $45 to make. It is challenging to price them.
With excellent sourcing help in the past week, we were able to quickly put together a limited edition package and launch this one week Kickstarter for the fans of Promenade. That's right. You will not find any handwritten components because this is a limited edition, not a review edition. Also, we decided to place it on Kickstarter instead of a private pre-order site because we want your pledge to be transparent and protected.
Furthermore, if you are a backer of the previous Promenade project, when you pledge the $58 Limited Edition, we will ship you the $78 Limited Edition with Add-on package. We thank you for being there!
Please keep in mind, the cost of the game is still high because we are now printing in US with low quantity, just enough to fulfill this project.

Now the project ...
Promenade is a market manipulation deck building game for 2 to 4 players. The goal is to collect impressionist paintings and manipulate their marketing value. Player score points by exhibiting their paintings during the game and also the remaining paintings in their deck at the end of the game. When the game ends, the player with most victory points wins the game.

“Promenade adds some attractive ideas to deck-building, including a market system that is interesting yet intuitive. A perfect middle-weight art game between Modern Art and The Gallerist, with all original artwork.” - Eric R. Burgess, Boardgame Babylon
“I enjoyed Promenade greatly. The design is clever and engaging. I am very impressed and suggest you try or buy Promenade when it becomes available. Highly recommended.” - Mike Siggins of Ludememike . See complete article.
“OVERALL: 8.75/10. I love the mix of mechanics: set collection, deckbuilding, and managing the game’s economy, naturally, but the art is also a major selling point for the game.” - Eric Yurko, What’s Eric Playing! See complete article.
"Ta-Te Wu and Sunrise Tornado Game Studios have a hit on their hands in Promenade. The market manipulation mechanism is my favorite part of Promenade; it adds a nice layer of depth to the game and makes it stand out among other deck builders." - Ruel Gaviola Ruel's Blog . See complete article.
“At heart, Promenade is a deck builder but there are a lot of unique elements that make it unlike any other deck builder we’ve played. The process of buying art from the galleries, increasing its value to then show in museums, along with the beautiful impressionist art style makes this an immersive experience where theme does count.” - Katrina Demeanour, I Play Red . "What really grabs me is that the paintings in your hand are worth their current market rating. As you spend cards from your hand to acquire a new painting, that painting genre goes up in its market rating. I have never played a deck builder that raises the value of the cards in your deck. It really changes your mindset and strategy from a standard deck builder. I am 100% backing this game. It's a unique experience." - James Freeman, Everything Board Games. See complete article.
"Promenade is a deckbuilder that is mechanically the simplest deckbuilder I've ever seen, but extremely strategically deep. It turns several common aspects of deckbuilding on their heads and encourages you to regard them in a whole new light." - Jonathan Zev. See complete article.
"The best game system is that you pay for new cards with your artwork but once a column of art is cleared, the pricing system increases the cost of artwork. So there’s this really good balance between the artwork increasing in price and the cost rising. The system is well balanced, so progress is still made but not by leaps and bounds." - Alan How, Opinionated Gamers. See complete article.

As always, we have carefully selected and developed this project to ensure we are bringing the best gaming experience to you. Though you are taking a risk by pledging, our commitment to backers, the product and the game industry as a whole, is our complete focus. We appreciate your patience and thank you for your support in advance of any potential snags in fulfillment. Thank you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
