About this project
First Things First - My Goal & A BIG Thank You!
This is all made in my garage, in a small town in Iowa. I'm not farming out the work to China, this is truly made in the Heartland of the USA. You get actual 1-on-1 SUPPORT, FUTURE ADD-ONs, and knowing that your supporting a guy in his Garage working for his dream, not some guy sitting back collecting money while his product is being made.
Kickstarter has been a HUGE part of my family's lives in 2013, and I want to thank all of my previous backers. You've helped give life to ideas and been there for me when I needed moral support, I really appreciate that. :)
If you have never backed one of my projects then you may not know that I run them a little different than most. This project is a living breathing project, all input is welcome and a lot of it really does make it into the final product. (See past projects)
The current TiKeY plates are in prototype form, so this is where I need your help. Any input is welcome to get these perfected and to market. My Goal is $999 so I can put in a bulk order of Grade 5 Titanium, which lowers the price of the Titanium, which means you get affordable Titanium. Any extra funds from this project will go towards the next Kickstarter Project, because you know I'll be back :)
DISCLAIMER - This is NOT a store, this is a Kickstarter Project. We are a community here. If all you want is a transaction, this is not the project for you. Thanks for your support. :)
TiKeY's Story -
A couple of Mad Titanium Scientists, Brad Martin and Mike Bond joined forces to create the TiKeY. We needed to figure out a way to make a superior key holder, make it out of Grade 5 Titanium, make it "affordable," and make it LAST A LIFETIME. TiKeY has gone through many iterations to become what it is today. I really couldn't have done this without the help of Mike. Thank You Mike!
TiKeY Versions -
>ALL versions will be tumbled so there are no sharp edges.<
>MILLED VERSION - (Pick Finish in Final Survey - NO COLOR is ALWAYS available)
(Prototype pictures, finish will be tweaked and well....better! I post many informational updates about the process)
>25K Stretchgoal - NEW FINISH - Blue with Green Pockets!
>BUDGET VERSION -
Budget Version is SMOOTH (no pockets) RAW (no color) stonewashed Titanium.
How many keys does the TiKeY carry?
Just like any other key holder with separate plates, you can carry as many keys as you have (Do you have 500 keys, well...they will fit) if you want to use normal 8-32 nuts/bolts from the hardware store.
Both versions of screws come with your Reward - ~4-8 keys and ~8-10 keys (Key size does vary)
How big are your hands?
How else should I have worded that?

Risks and challenges
What are the risks and challenges that come with completing your project, and how are you qualified to overcome them?.
I can't think of any risks or challenges this time around, this is my 3rd project and each time I learn more and more. Here are the steps I will go through during fulfillment.
Pop each plate out of the Titanium
Sand the nub off each plate
Tumble the plates
Machine the plates
Stonewash the plates
Anodize the plates
Maybe Stonewash the plates again depending on your choice
Package and ship the TiKeY.
I've learned from the last 2 projects how all of this goes together and how long things take, so I'm very confident in this project that you will receive your reward EARLY! :DLearn about accountability on Kickstarter
