KETTOU: The Samurai Reflex Game (Canceled)
A samurai themed dueling game using real reflex mechanics for 2-8 players. Defeat your opponents using quick reflexes and a sharp mind.
KETTOU (which means duel in Japanese) is a Samurai Themed Reflex Tabletop Game. Players duel each other as iconic Samurai. Defeat your opponents using quick reflexes and a sharp mind!
We are the Creator's of Iron & Ale. Both Iron & Ale and the Expansion King of the Keg, were successfully funded with the support of Kickstarter Backers! We now come to you and ask you for your support to make what will hopefully be our next game KETTOU! We know we can’t be the company we are without you. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!
2-PLAYER PLAY THROUGH
4-PLAYER PLAY THROUGH
We are adding 24 Downloadable Audio Files for everyone who backs KETTOU. Originally we were going to make this a stretch goal, but decided to pay ahead of time to help make KETTOU a better value. Audio Files will allow players to play KETTOU without a Designated Reader position. A Native Japanese speaking voice over artist was hired for the audio. We hope this makes KETTOU even better for you!
Choose between 8 SAMURAI, each with an unique ability to use throughout the duel. Each samurai also has different hit point and attack values. Kickstarter backers receive the special 8th samurai, TOMOE GOZEN.
Use your Quickness to Strike your enemy. Kendo Based Hit Location Cards simulate striking your opponent.
- ASHI- Leg or Foot
Only 4 out of 8 Hit Cards are placed between the dueling players at a time. These cards are randomly placed and a separate reader deck is available for the rotating player to call out. Downloadable Audio Files are also available for players to use instead of having a Reader Call out Cards.
Each Player (Base game comes with 3 sets of Bushido Virtue Cards) starts the game with 7 Bushido Virtue Cards. Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Honesty and Loyalty. Players put drawn Combat Cards over the Virtue Cards in the designated area. After each Combat phase players roll 2d6 and if there is a Combat Card on the corresponding number the Combat Card triggers.

Risks and challenges
This is our third kickstarter and with your support, our third game! We've learned a lot from our last two games and know there are always risks and unforeseen challenges in producing a game. We feel confident in the manufacturer and production relationships we've built. We want Kettou to be the best quality it can be!
We have also worked hard to find the best artists we could for Kettou. The artists listed above are top notch and some of the best Freelance Illustrators currently out there.
We also reached out and hired a translator to help make sure Kettou had the best representation of the Japanese language.
This will also be our third year exhibiting at Gen Con! Send us a message and say hello if you've had the chance to stop by our booth previous years.Thank you all for your continued support!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
