My name is Alex, designer at TruthStudio in Sheffield, and I'd like your help to create a series of unique limited-edition A2 posters and A6 note cards. Each poster and card displays inspirational and thought-provoking quotes from great thinkers.
Look at the cards and posters below, then choose from the list of pledges. You can order in quantities of 1-10 items – in any combination of posters and packs of cards. You don't need to do anything else: I'll contact you at the end of the funding period to confirm your choice of items and your delivery address.

24 Great Minds.
24 note cards + presentation box.
Each card is printed on 300gsm Zen by GF Smith, and is packaged inside a presentation box stamped with silver foil. All cards are blank inside, folded to A6 (10.5 x 14.8cm / 4.1 x 5.8"), and come with envelopes. Each box of 24 cards counts as one item (£25) in the list of pledges.
24 limited edition silkscreen posters.
All posters are printed with two inks (white and a flash of colour) onto high quality 270gsm Ebony Colorplan by GF Smith. Using traditional, hand-pulled, silkscreen printing processes each quote is lovingly crafted into a limited edition A2 print (42 x 59.4cm / 16.5 x 23.4"), signed and numbered by me. Each poster counts as one item (£25) in the list of pledges.
Each quote is printed onto a weighty stock: 270gsm Colorplan by GFSmith. Why? Artists and designers all over the world use this premium uncoated paper because it is beautiful, iconic, and FSC certified. The quote is printed in white, while names are printed in a solid colour.
Silkscreen printing is a traditional, versatile technique that uses mesh to create a stencil for artists to print their work onto almost any surface. Ink is 'pushed' through the stencil by hand using a squeegee, leaving a beautiful finish.
Strictly limited edition.
The earlier you back the project, the earlier your edition will be. Get in fast though: once each print is sold out it will never be reprinted in the same colours at A2.

Risks and challenges
I have lots of experience working with printers and great care is taken to make sure each print is of the highest quality; although the silkscreen process leads to tiny imperfections, this is part of what makes each print unique.
Hand-pulled silkscreen printing cannot be churned out in five minutes at the touch of a button: it takes a steady hand, a keen eye, with a lot of preparation and effort. The printer aims to complete orders within three weeks. I check, sign and number, then pack each poster individually. Delivery to customers in the UK should take no more than five working days but overseas orders will take longer to arrive.
Over the years I have produced and dispatched several hundred silkscreen prints around the world, and I do not anticipate any major issues to arise. While I do everything possible to ensure overseas orders arrive in a timely manner, I've encountered problems with Australian orders taking up to six weeks to arrive. I pay for tracking on all UK and international orders – and can provide details on request.
I do not supply frames. A2 is a standard size and most independent picture framers stock them in a variety of finishes.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
