"Wake up Dreamer, or let your Nightmares become your Fate"
The Withering King Xavian has somehow spread his corruption to The Tapestry, the connected network of slumbering humans. His corruption is causing dreams to turn and become twisted in strange and unnatural ways. Your once innocent dreams become sinister nightmares capable of corrupting your mortal soul into something else...
"But fear not, Dreamer..."
Dreamweavers from around the world, like myself, have banded together to stem the tide of corruption. But we need your help, Dreamer. The only way to push Xavian away and out of The Tapestry is through the combined might of human dreams. This means that we must enter the dreams of slumbering humans around Tikor and wake them to the dangers we face.
Only once you Dreamers are awake can you affect your dreams and push back against the corrupting forces of Xavian.
"So, wake up Dreamer. Wake up and seize your fate."
Drift of Dreams will be a 100+ page full-color graphic novel set within the Swordsfall universe. Within these pages, you will find stories from people across Tikor, caught in the struggle for power between ancient beings. It's a struggle that humans never asked for, yet are nevertheless entangled in. Where once Tikor the battlefield, it's now in the theater of the mind. A dreamworld where humans have all the power, and yet none.
Some humans revel in the chance to fight against the corruption that threatens to break the dreamworld. When the Dreamweavers awaken them, they use their dreams and push back against Xavian.
On the other hand, some find themselves pulled to the dark seduction of The Withering King. Which one of their darkest nightmares are actually their greatest wish? Xavian knows, and he shows them visions of things yet to come.
The central group of Dreamweavers known as The Kelm, have dispatched their most talented 'Weaver, a private figure known as The Seeker, to deal with the rising threat. They say that when it comes to diving through the connected dreamscape, no one is better.
However, The Seeker isn't the only one in The Tapestry with a mission. Deep amidst the dreams, a corrupted Dreamweaver lurks. Having succumbed to the vile curse of Xavian's Touch, they are now the conduit allowing the god of corruption to invade The Tapestry.

Will they Help or Hinder?
Drift of Dreams will have TWO covers to pick from. The Goddess of Creation, Ishvana or The Withering King, Xavian.
The Ishvana cover will be drawn by Swordsfall Lead Artist, T'umo Mere. If you've been following Swordsfall at all, then his art should be no surprise to you! His art leads the style and design of Swordsfall, bringing a real taste of Africa to the world.
The Xavian cover will be drawn by legendary Artist, Chris Cold. Cold is a bit of a hidden name in the art world. You may not know his name off the top of your head, but his work is in dozens of books, games and even movies. The way he draws terrifying and creepy figures is among some of the best. His name was the first in mind when it came to bringing the foreboding corruption of Xavian to life.
The most popular cover will determine which deity wins the ultimate battle for The Tapestry and the dreams of humans. The final graphic novel will have special inserts between stories to show the rise of new ruler of The Tapestry.
Will you patron Ishvana or Xavian?
The World Outside The Tapestry...
In the beginning... Tikor is a world where deities and spirits are as real as the nature that surrounds us. Since the earliest writings of mankind, the gods have been there alongside humanity. They are a vital part of the makeup of human societies across the globe. In a way, this is to be expected. Humans were in fact created by the gods. Various great deities created cultures of their design and ethos. As time marched forward, these various cultures and groups co-existed. Sometimes contentiously, sometimes harmoniously, but always striving to co-exist.
History, however, would change its course in a single tragic day and the horrific night that followed. Mime, the Garuda deity of Wisdom, is assassinated at the hands of an alleged Vinyatian assassin. Mortal hands had never before slain a deity. As tensions between the rival nations of Garuda and Vinyata soared under a long Tikor night, a bloody battle erupted between the two sides. A truce was called once the truth of the news surrounding the assassination was called into question, but not before irreversible damage to both sides was done.
Despite the armistice between bitter enemies, the wounds of that day will forever linger. The world heaves as the one constant, the gods themselves, waver. A new struggle begins…
IT'S THE YEAR 10 A.R
As the world still recovers, ten years after the bloody events that ended the Era, its fallout begins to appear. Rumors around the the world tell of the arrival of a new kind of weapon. Instruments capable of killing gods, Grim Arms. Could this be related to the unsolved assassination of Mime?
In Garuda, a power struggle is in full effect as the current ruler of The Divine Order of the Phoenix, Amma Zencora, vies to hold onto his ill-gotten throne. How far will the ruler go to defend the throne he so desperately wants to keep?
Vinyata is adjusting to a world with one less major city and cultural hub. The Eastern Nodewas destroyed during the bloody war at the End of the Era. An unpleasant surprise emerges as the survivors rebuild and a rash of malevolent spirits now roam the region. The souls of those lost 10 years ago are still attached to the mortal plane, hungry for vengeance and retribution.
Hawklore's neutrality during The Longest Night has finally paid dividends. The God King, Hawken, basks in the increasing wealth of his nation. On the outside, it seems like a rich paradise where any want can be attained. Yet below the surface, in the dingy streets of the capital city of High Perch, dissent stirs.
Rumors abound that the desolate stretch of land known as the Ebon Cascade has become home to a new form of horror. Something cunning that is uniting the monstrous beings that inhabit the region. Whispers say a Raksha is on Tikor, hiding away and building an army. None want to believe the horrifying rumor, and none dare to confirm it.
In the boundless waters of The Grand Divide, new forces arise as the largest pirate fleet of them all, Heaven's Fall, begins to marshal. With the cold genius of Nubia leading them, her power has begun to make those on land to take notice. The law of the sea changes as rumors of an alliance between her and the tech genius, Ken Musa begin to circulate.
In all corners of the world, events are in motion.
The Kickstarter that Started it All - Welcome to Tikor
Tikor's Major Arcana
Dreams and prophecies have long been interwoven, each one leading to the other. For many Dreamweavers, the best way to navigate through the mind is through the use of Tarot cards.
At this Stretch Goal we will produce the first set of Swordsfall themed tarot cards, At this tier, the tarot deck will be complete with a full 78 card Tarot Deck in a Custom Box.
Extending the Dream
Each Artist increases their story by 5 pages. This brings each of the 10 unique stories up to 15 pages each. At this point, Drift of Dreams is now 150 pages! Not only do you get more art, but it allows each artist to tell each piece of the tale with greater freedom to up the suspense or follow their fancy.
The Painters of the Tapestry rely on the efforts of others, and during this nightmare the bond couldn't be stronger. With this Stretch Goal, the artists will be paid more! For some artists that just means more time to devote to the art itself. For others it means more supplies to enrich the colors. Either way, it's hard to argue against more money to the ones who breathe life into these novels.
Offerings to the Painters
They say the more vivid a dream is, the more you remember it. What makes a nightmare linger in your mind? Was it the story? Or was it the imagery? The things you saw while you slept?
What is a Graphic Novel without artists? This goal means more money for the artists and by proxy, a better book.
WHAT FURTHER TREASURES ARE BURIED WITHIN THE TAPESTRY, DREAMER?

Tanni "Queen Beanie" Brown
"The idea behind my sample is rooted in my struggles with dreams. Anxiety dreams and nightmares that leave the body in pain from it reacting to the stress. So I found the idea of the poisoning of the Tapestry extremely cool. That character is as close what I envision to messing up everyone's dreams. Like The tapestry is bleeding thick, dark slime that swallows light.
And victims of their blight have a mark that they only they can see, that gets bigger over time."

Will more Painters appear? It depends on you Dreamer.
Brandon Dixon - Creator and Author of Swordsfall. He's a longtime omni-nerd who grew up during the golden days of Toonami, Spawn comic books and G4. (yeaaa remember that?) However, as a black man in the hobby, he found himself longing for more stories that told the adventures of people that looked like him. Creating Swordsfall has not only been an effort to be the change he wanted to see, but also as his own personal journey.
While this was his first major property, Brandon has moonlighted in designing before. Having built a number of smaller, unreleased tabletop games, freelanced in the gaming industry and built his own small convention - its easy to see that creating things is what he loves the most.

T'umo Mere - Lead Artist. T'umo is the lead artist on Swordsfall and an exceptional illustrator. Hailing from Botswana, T'umo uses their knowledge of Africa's intricate art and culture to bring a local's modernized ideas to Swordsfall. They consider themselves an aspiring concept artist and illustrator specializing in video games and comics.
Taylor Ruddle - Graphic Designer. Taylor is the lead Graphic Designer for Swordsfall and sultan of making things gorgeous. He currently resides in New Zealand, where he knocks them dead with his stand-up comedy whenever he's not designing logos and other art. Taylor designed the newest Swordsfall logo, Chibis, icons and more.
