      Hi Team,
I haven't seen the plugs for Australian outlets on your photos, I hope that you have considered that option/
      warm regards

The USB insert add-on will allow basic charging of devices. If you replace your z-wave insert with it, then you are right in assuming the z-wave control is removed with the z-wave insert.

As we get the outlet and simpler inserts through the UL certification process (each functional insert must be certified individually), we will look to add USB to the Wi-Fi/Z-wave insert as a "USB + wireless" package.  This package, however, will be more expensive than the add-on we have here, considering the cost of the wireless components involved.

We understand the community's desire for more functional inserts (as rewards) and to that end, we are looking at options for giving KS backers the opportunity to get these in-development inserts at discounted pricing as they become available, post-campaign.  We have intentionally opted to keep these inserts off this campaign, because of the uncertainty around timelines for certification (a serial process, for now).  Rest assured that we, more than anyone, see the link between insert availability and product success.  I hope that answers your question!

I would like to know for those of us who purchased the Z-Wave version what is going to happen when the USB insert is placed inside?!? I am going to assume that Z-Wave capability which I paid extra for is no longer going to operate because that feature is in another insert!

Please correct me if I am wrong here . . .

Also, lets assume I have a USB insert what does it allow me to do besides charge devices? Can I in fact control that USB device like an outlet (on / off)?

sneaky act to post this clarification with less than a day before the campaign ends.
