About this project
(See more details at "REWARDS" below)
"An infographic beautifully maps out 15 traditional tea recipes from around the world, paying homage to the 4,000-year-old beverage."
"The good folks over at SweeTooth Design Company, the creators of the Genesis of Cookies, have created a magical poster that curates all the different potions you can make with your favorite tea leaves."
"The overall design is clean yet eyecatching, and I could easily see Alchemy of Tea being used at home, in the office break room, at your local cafe..."
"Perfect for your tea loving friends for holiday gifts, the diagram won’t just look nice but it actually functions to show you the recipes and ingredients for each tea. We definitely love this poster and now we dub it both Kickstarter and Swaggest Staff picked."
"The creators have also included illustrations of traditional tea sets from various cultures—these are certainly eye-opening treats as we get to know the art of brewing this beverage. "
SweeTooth Design Company is a design team that collaborate both food and design. Other than collecting creative recipes around the world, we are also researchers who write about history and fun facts about desserts and foodie. From our first successfully funded project, "Genesis of Cookies Poster, the Documented History of Cookie," the illustration was inspired from our Cookie Research. Similarly, we would like to introduce our new project, "Alchemy of Tea,' an illustrated diagram based on our tea recipe research.
"Alchemy of Tea" is the first infographic illustration that depicts traditional tea recipes from around the world. It is not only a poster, but an informative recipe diagram of one of the most favorite drinks, tea.
There is a total of 15 tea recipes. Through mixing tea base with different ingredients, there are different results. What is more interesting is that simply by adding one or more ingredients, the entire recipe may becomes an entire different drink.
The main concept of this design is to show relationships of tea. When the same ingredients are used, there is always a reason and relationship with the origin of drink. Unique ingredients can be the key to understand and learn about the culture behind the tea.
During the last 2 months, our research team began a new knowledge topic about Traditional Tea Recipes Around the World. We learn that tea is a very valuable drink that represent history in many ways. Not only it has been around for over 4000 years, tea became a culture and a daily dietary habit in many countries. Our tea research includes tea history, background, culture, tea sets, and their traditional recipes. And these recipes became the essence of "Alchemy of Tea."
