We believe affordable space shouldn't be a luxury.
We know the rent is too damn high… so’s the equipment. But what if joining an art studio was like joining a gym? (A regular gym––not the smoothie pouring, sauna steaming, so long to my paycheck type gym.) At Swaggerless Studios, we’re creating an environment that will give artists and designers affordable access to the space and professional equipment they need to flex their creative muscles.
Your support will help more creatives, create.
By backing this project, you're not only helping to bring Swaggerless Studios to life, but also the future projects of all the artists and creatives to walk through our doors. That's something to get excited about.
6K can go a long way.
We're looking to raise $6,000 to help cover the cost of F.F.E. (Fixtures, Furniture & Equipment). These include items such as:
- Drafting tables
- Utility sink
But 12K will make our day.
Our stretch goal of $12,000 will help us pay for space improvements.
- Sanding and refinishing floor
- Plaster, prime, and paint walls
- Three 10lb fire extinguishers and metal case
And with 20K, we'll go all the way!
- Additional outlets
- Additional lighting
- Plumbing for sink
2,500 square feet of possibilities.
It might not look like much now. But just wait and see what happens with your support!

"Since we met, the relationship with Swaggerless couldn't be better. We did things together that always ended in good results, from the blog to a pop-up art exhibition in L.A. Thanks to Swaggerless our artwork opened to new horizons, crossing frontiers to get to know new people, a new public sensible to our work that otherwise for us would have been impossible to reach."
"Why having affordable access to the tools and space to create is important to us?
It's fundamental for working peacefully. This allows you to focus and get down to work without distractions, stimulating creation."
Meet JaMall: A product & jewelry designer and founder of Gami Gallery in Los Angeles. @gamigallery

"I don't have space! Lmao I need more space."

Oh yeah, and I'm Jess.
I’m Jess, creator of Swaggerless Studios. I want to personally thank you for being a part of our vision of giving more artists affordable access to the tools and space to create. Six years ago I moved across country to a city full of creatives, artists, and visionary spirits. It was great being amongst a vibrant group of people, but there was one thing I missed––the amazing studios and facilities I left behind in art school. I found myself working on projects wherever I could make space––on the bedroom floor, tape filled walls, anything sturdy enough to be a table, back to the floor. It worked––up to a point. I knew I couldn’t be the only one in this predicament of turning everything into a studio, because I couldn’t afford a studio.
Turns out, I wasn’t.
I started visiting creatives of all backgrounds––from emerging artisans turning bedrooms into photo booths, to established artists with studios in downtown hotspots. What I realized was, you can’t stop an artist from making art––I just want to make the process a little easier for us all.
We've saved the best for last. Below are descriptions of some of the rewards for backing our project. Thanks for your support!
