Good job on what? Artwork that someone else drew? You're right, though, school is around the corner which means the time Kenzie has to do the project will be reduced to nothing. Last update it was admitted, more or less, that her interest in the project has dwindled. This truth was predicted months ago. Think its time for everyone to remove their rose colored glasses and realize "The Truth." Can't figure out what the truth is? You must be a Troll. If you're still a true believer, then.....You Rock!!!!!! @randomcelebrity #vaporware #IBTL

    2. Anna on August 22, 2013

Good job so far. I would also like an update..but I know these things take time. She may also be back in school sometime this month or next too.

    3. Will on August 21, 2013

I understand that she's just a kid, but an update of any kind should be incoming every month detailing *anything*.

    4. Loranna238 ~ Dream Traveler ~ on August 18, 2013

Seriously, everyone, it's a kickstarter - this kid isn't Bethesda. Give it a rest.

    5. Aaron Gunderson on August 11, 2013 seems to have been gutted. Pinkiesquare unchanged since May. Any new news?

    6. Aaron Gunderson on August 2, 2013

      From the update:
"it’s not just difficult for a 9 year old to create, commit and execute a story line and long-term plan (with long-term being anything beyond 2 weeks), it’s mentally and physically impossible!"

      So her brothers were right.

    7. The Art Factory on July 31, 2013

i am very proud of the tremendous efforts you all have made in this project.. it's so obvious and i've watched you spend literally months of solid work.. the fruits of your efforts render any astute observer speechless.. way more than expected.... wwaayyy more than expected.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    8. Will on July 24, 2013

      Update please?

    9. The Art Factory on July 23, 2013

the game seems to be still in development, and seems way way better than one might expect. delay? maybe, but it seems quite promising even if the 9 year old is taking a few days longer than expected to finish her computer programming job. it's normal for project to take extra time.. that yacht trip in the bahamas maybe delayed things a bit?! this project is going to be fascinating over time, especially when the games are released. plural, not singular, right? peace : )

      And 5 weeks later...

    11. Susan Wilson 2-time creator on June 13, 2013

I'll post an update today! I've over thought it and should just get you weekly updates instead of major milestones. Kenzie's working away on the game as are the other kids we've signed up to help (they're primarily doing art but we're now getting into unique scripts so I imagine Kenzie will be figuring out that piece next. Kenzie's excited to be able to FOCUS on the game now. We skyped with Philip at MIT GameLab yesterday afternoon which was great. Kenzie just finished 3rd grade this week (straight A's :) and we were in Istanbul last week (yes during the riots) for the Dell Women's Entrepreneurship Network Global Event. Kenzie was a rockstar at the event and I just signed the release b/c she's a minor b/c there was one line in particular that resonated with the group. I'm trying to get all the links and info I'll post a link and she'll be on CNBC talking about the game.

Here's a clip from Dell's highlight reel and you can see Kenzie on stage if you look closely. They'll release her session shortly though. The voice in the background when you see her is actually mine. I'm in the red dress (coincidence and surprise for us on the last day when we saw this with everyone else).…

I'll sum up an update for you:

Thanks for the $20k everyone! Hawaii was beautiful this summer.

    13. Kara A Kearns on June 10, 2013

Just wondering about how things are going. The website still isn't up and there are no recent updates here. I was happy to see that the rewards were sent out and were much appreciated.

    14. Anna on June 8, 2013

I'm also wondering on an update.

    15. Michael Pedersen on June 5, 2013

Figure it's time for me to ask an actual Kickstarter update. How's things going for getting things ready for the camp? Is she at the camp? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

    16. Greta - KG Pinkerton Rd AGL589 Mem. AGRM on May 18, 2013

Got my shirt and kookie last week - wearing it now. I love the rection people get when they see it.
It was sweet for Kenzie to include a thank you note. Good luck girl - can't wait to see the game.

    17. reverendphil on May 8, 2013

The shirt looks great, my daughter still has some growing to do before she wears it, but that's fine. I'll keep it on ice ;)

    18. Robert A Cole on May 7, 2013

Thank you so much for the speedy delivery of my mouse pad and Koozie. More then that the personal touch was awesome. Kids can't wait to see the game. All good here.

Just got the drink koozie. I read that there's some hate on the internet... all I can say is, my wife and I are 100% with you. Stick it out; there will always be jealous, small-minded creeps crawling around on the web.

    20. Susan Wilson 2-time creator on May 1, 2013

@Chris Dickson :)...Since you were the first to post a positive comment when you got your reward just because you felt like it (and you made us smile), we decided to send you a few more rewards we hope you'll enjoy even more! What size sweatshirt would you wear? And any female gamers/coders in your life that might like a t-shirt? Just shoot me off details at THANKS AGAIN!

Chris, THANK YOU for the positive feedback and look for to go live shortly b/c we really want to get the backers involved as much as possible. It's so easy and fun to name characters after people that matter or use one-liners that make you LOL and are easily recognizable to whomever it is you were hoping would see themselves in the game.

    21. chris dickson on April 30, 2013

Got a sweet koozie in the mail today, and a thank you card. Thanks! :D

    22. ET3D on April 22, 2013

@Waqar, any discussion of the game is interspersed with hateful discussion of Susan. "Susan's next scam", whatever, every page has several messages of this sort. If there is ever a discussion of the game proper that doesn't insult Susan every second message, I won't mind looking at it. It's possible that there some pages where that wasn't the case, and the game proper was discussed, but the fact that it's not readily apparent to someone just dropping in on the thread means that it's better to leave it alone.

    23. Waqar Arshad on April 22, 2013

      @ET3D Thanks :)

As for any hatred still being there, I have to disagree. I've been popping in and out of the NeoGAF thread every now and again (btw I haven't registered the domain and from the last couple of pages, nearly all of it is game related. So whatever hatred you thought there was initially is now being used positively and most of the recent comments are from members pitching ideas to incorporate into the game.

Like I said, if you're curious about the game, then you just have to follow the link from the last couple of pages as that's all the stuff that's relating to the game. I think it will be enjoyable especially if NeoGAF members are involved as it's meant to be a parody game so I think it'll be amusing at the very least.

    24. ET3D on April 22, 2013

@Wakar, I'm glad you're getting featured in a game. :) However, I don't want to follow that NeoGAF thread. I think that's what Kelly referred to. There's so much hatred there still that I can't imagine that the game will end up enjoyable (to people who don't hate Susan).

      Congrats Susan!!!

    32. Vernano Veryo on April 19, 2013

Oops, I meant to say spending time looking good and being very informative. You aren't really anwering anything there.

    33. Vernano Veryo on April 19, 2013

Instead of spending time answering comments in your update, wouldn't it be a better idea to finally post stretch goals for the current amount pledged?

    34. Vernano Veryo on April 19, 2013

RC, hG was a bit harsh in addressing you but by simply returning the blow you don't really make yourself out to be much better. I also felt that your whole "I know the inside scoop" thing youve bandied about a few times has been unnecessary. If you can't share things it isn't nice to flash them around. In this case it isn't nice to be saying you know information backers would like to know and basically suggesting how we should feel about it.

    35. Loranna238 ~ Dream Traveler ~ on April 19, 2013

Well, if anything this will give a nine year old girl an example of how politics works and the different kinds of people there are...

    36. Loranna238 ~ Dream Traveler ~ on April 19, 2013

I think you should name the trolls after New York Yankee players. ;)

    37. RC on April 19, 2013

--- Actually, I was being honest in my previous comment. But hey it doesn't matter because you're 'cynical', 'suspicious', and pretty 'sincere' about it. Also the long tirade you had, towards the Wilson famiy was pretty pretentious of you.
--- HumanGames says, 'I hope it makes you happy and was worth it, because it has made a lot of other people sad. ' --- How very sanctimonious of you.
--- Concerns for the project should have been directed to Kickstarter. Let me help you - - but you an I already know their stance, if you have a problem with their response, then repeat the process.
--- As for my new profile: As you can see I am the same person at the way I act and type. The only difference is I took a chance to know Susan and so far she has met my expectations. But being the cynic you claim to be, that would not happen with you. If you meant my actual Kickstarter profile, that was because I changed it due to threats made about the exposure of identities by Susan and friends (something I believe they regret posting)
--- In the end, the project will move foward and so will people... backers, supporters, non-backers, trolls. Whatever happens I wish nothing but your good health and a thanks for the insightful arguments.

Just came here to say that KingRidley had some great points -- I know it's a lot of text, but I recommend everyone read his/her post. Loved the discussion on accusations of trolling, dubious claims of "loving the truth", and how satire is usually beyond the grasp of children.

We just wanted to leave a note of encouragement for Mackenzie! My daughter (Bella-also 9) is working on building her own KS (jewelry) and we came across this project while researching. She wanted to share the love from one imaginative girl to another! Good luck with your game! Can't wait to hear about your future accomplishments! <3 Jennifer & Bella Grace

    41. Vernano Veryo on April 18, 2013

      KJ: Fair enough.

    42. Keovar on April 18, 2013

VV: I don't think they'd have offered the fan-naming idea if they didn't want suggestions.

    43. Vernano Veryo on April 18, 2013

She could do a lot of things.

I'd get rid of it entirely and let Kenzie make the game without worrying about what is named what, but that's me.

    44. Keovar on April 18, 2013

She could remove the randomness and just let us suggest a name in our wrap-up survey, and then choose from the names submitted.

    45. Vernano Veryo on April 18, 2013

Oops, that was meant to read "they may let it slide."

    46. Vernano Veryo on April 18, 2013

@RC, you should let Susan know her new update seems to violate kickstarter's guideline against raffles. Judging from their history with this campaign though, they let it slide. At worst, she'll need to redo the update.

"No contests, raffles, coupons, or lifetime memberships."

    47. RC on April 18, 2013

      @Ann Williams ~ Dream Traveler ~
That is not allowable, according to Kickstarter terms. However,

      @Where is Money Going To?
Again why is it any concern for people not involved in the project to know the distribution of the funds? When you invest on other Kickstarters, usually all backers want to know is the end product and the perks.

      @To the Backers
I am involved in the project right now and I know for a FACT of a child who will be working on the game, that if they get paid will use it to get a bunkbed for themselves and their siblings, something she always wanted. --- So, I will again say, 'Why is it anyone's concern on how the money is being spent, as long as it is towards the game'. ---- Your pledges will be helping the child, who will be working earnestly on the game. You guys should be proud of yourself... not only did you help Makenzie with her game, but also your generousity is helping a child, and maybe many others along the way.

Susan Wilson is not attempting to run away with the money. She has even told me through messages, how she can spend it. Not only that used her own money to set up a place where kids can learn how to make games.

Be aware, I was one of the so called 'trolls' who questioned her motives, and did it to the point of getting banned from Kickstarter. LOL... But, ever since Susan and I became friends, she opened the project info to me and now working side by side with her.

I can understand the doubters not believing in Susan Wilson, but if they can't believe someone who was once like them... then honestly maybe they can't help themselves.
