Truth & Trolls: The Pen and Paper Companion: An RPG sourcebook for people who enjoy the game and want to keep the experience going. The book will cover the locations, characters and items of the game (highlighting those named by backers) and provide material for both the Fate and Pathfinder systems under the OGL. In addition to more information about the world and a short adventure, the Pen and Paper Companion will include material aimed at helping young gamers and creators of all stripes develop stories and characters to share with their friends and family. And maybe a few adults can enjoy it too. Current estimate is at 96 pages but the length may increase depending on the size of the source game. The book will be made available through PDF to backers and then available for sale on DriveThruRPG.
The book will be developed by Rain Pletcher, a longtime gamer with a background in film and theater. A veteran of child and teen educational camps in storytelling, writing and character development, these experiences with children will be leveraged to create material to help inspire children to tell their own stories. This will be the first RPG writing project for the author.
