This is our 1st game in our series of "ARCADE INSPIRED" games that is being developed for PC/ANDROID/IOS/MAC/SONY VITA. Hopefully if this game proves we can make a few cents in the process, we will continue the line by rocking the Arcade Classics with more releases!

Those backing us with $5 or more can pick which format they would like. The platforms you can pick for a reward are PC(WINDOWS)/MAC/SONY VITA. In addition you also can pick to be in the ANDROID BETA via GooglePlay. Currently there is NO option to get an ios/or ps4 version as a reward. Release dates are staggered with the MAC release 1 month after PC, and VITA release one month after MAC. We will release them sooner if we can.
If funded we will plan on having a version for PS4. Details to be announced later.We will have some things to work out with Sony.
What is an "ARCADE FLYER"? They were used by the coin-operated amusement industry to promote the sale of it's games. It was only fitting for us to create one for this project - even if it's only in digital form.

So What is this game about?
Major Rocks is the first game in a retro series of arcade games to be released on various gaming platforms. Major Rocks is an arcade themed space shooter full of action and excitement. This is what we like to call a free-floating space shooter. You have controls to turn your ship left and right. You can thrust forward and fire your various weapons at enemies. You have shields that protect you from incoming blasts and fuel to keep topped off. Among the enemies you will find POWER-UPS and other goodies to keep the game fresh! Major Rocks is the best of the ARCADE action everyone fell in love with, but updated to look and feel fresh for today’s market.This is our "LOVE LETTER" to 80's arcade space shooters! We have taken elements from the classic arcade games of the past and have combined them into one new explosion of fun!
Our main goal was to make an action game for the gamers of the world. This is not some casual game your grandparents will be playing. In fact, it is designed for them to hate it! This is for you guys, the action gamers! We wanted to recapture the excitement of the old arcade retro fun of the past. We believe we have done just that.
To recapture some of that past video game charm, we created voice over announcements that we then ran through a Texas Instruments TMS5220c speech chip to make them sound EXACTLY like the 80′s arcade games! It was a tricky process , involving using a few computers to get right. However, we felt it was worth every second of development.
The game will have 60 levels of non-stop arcade action. We are trying to make each level a bit different and keep upping the challenge as the game progresses. This way you can keep expecting to see new things as you play.
The levels will be you facing off against drones and mines in outer space. The level is marked with pre-spawn points to where new enemies will appear. As you destroy the larger threats, new ones will spawn in. You must make sure to avoid incoming spawners,while clearing the level. As you progress there will be boss attacks, and maze levels to make the game even bigger in scope. We want you to feel like you really got your ARCADE money’s worth out of our project!
We have high hopes for the project and have 2 additional games in the series designed and planned out. Each will cover a different type of ARCADE game-play.
We have been working on this game for a bit and currently it's around 70% complete. Now we have turned to KICKSTARTER to help us cross the finish line and hopefully make it possible to add even more cool features to our game.
We are not trying to get rich with this game. The fact is that games cost money to produce, and we have already invested in this game. This is a professionally developed game and the quality will show. We have a passion for retro themed games and want to share that with the world.
By backing this game, you will allow us to develop more features, more improvements, and just more game. We have also mapped out some pretty exciting stretch goals that would allow for even cooler things to happen. (See Below)
We want to stay independent and not have to answer to any pencil pushers. Been there, done that. Kickstarter can make this possible. Any amount you can throw our way will be appreciated and used towards the game development.
We are developing this game with Android and PC in mind. With a little more support we will also bring it to the IOS platform. (Mac/ps4/vita details below in faq)
- $5,000 - Our base goal. Game will be made available for Android Via Google Play/PC(Windows)/MAC/and SONY VITA - Release dates vary slightly.
- $10,000 - Our game will be submitted to APPLE for release on the ios platform. Money raised here will go towards APPLE hardware and software.
- $20,000 - New modes of play will be added. Including "LAST MAN STANDING" and "HARDCORE" which will introduce very challenging modes of play.
- $40,000 - "The Lost Sector" 30 additional levels will be created. New background visuals and new enemies to fight.
- $60,000 - Vector Mode! - Vector Mode will allow you to play the game in a very 1980's visual style. Vector art will be created for the assets in the game.
- $80,000 - "Maze Levels"- This pack will focus on the "INSIDE" levels. Instead of floating around in free space, you will have to watch out for walls and turrets at every corner!
- $100,000 - Select Your Hero Ship. Additional models will be created for the HERO ship. Each ship will offer different advantages and disadvantages to using them.
- $150,000 - Insane Pack! Things just got crazy. We are going all out here with 100 NEW LEVELS, NEW ENEMIES,NEW VISUALS, ETC! This will greatly increase the size of the game. Expected to take additional months of development.
- $250,000 -Major Rocks 2 - Adventure Mode. This massive mode adds an adventure game to the mix. You will be able to go from flying your ship, to being able dock and fight inside various ships on foot! There would be quests, and this would be a full on adventure game in this mode. Additional development time will be required for these features. This would be a big upgrade! With totally new game-play built on the foundation of the main game.
What is SUPERGOODPIXEL?
SuperGoodPixel was started by an EX-KONAMI art director who was looking to get back to making FUN GAMES! Major Rocks is our SECOND game. Our first game was the ANDROID title "BLACKJACK SUPER GOOD".

My name is Mike McAdams and I am the head of SUPERGOODPIXEL. We are here on KICKSTARTER today with our first KICKSTARTER project for what will be our second game from SGP.
My previous gig was that of ART DIRECTOR for Konami of Orange county. Before this, I was the ART DIRECTOR of Hijinx games. I have had many years experience in the video game industry and am looking forward to the future!

Most rewards offered are DIGITAL and require no shipping. However, a few rewards offer items that need to be shipped. We have included a shipping price that we hope is low enough to be fair. You can always choose to not have the physical item if you don't want it. Costs are for shirts: USA $4 and WORLDWIDE $8, for the MODEL:USA $5 and WORLDWIDE $10. A few limited rewards are free shipping. If your shipping costs turn out to be much lower we will refund you the difference. We will not charge you more if they are higher than expected.
(Above) - This is a render of our "HERO" ship. This is the model that will be created as a real world model as a reward. Final design, size,and details are subject to change. Depending on the demand,we expect to make a 3d-printed version of the parts and cast resin copies of that. The more of these we are going to make, the more expense we can spend on development of this reward.

We have put out games before. This is not our first release and have a long track record in the video game industry. Our game is over 65% to 70% complete already, so we have worked our most of the complex issues up front. This is not just a concept, we have actual working software RIGHT NOW. Our teaser movie was made with ACTUAL gameplay (not including the 2 cut-scenes at the start)
The normal risks do apply in this manner. Some new features may take more time to finish. Stretch goals will take an additional amount of time to complete.
We are dedicated to finishing this game, and working with our backers to try to solve any problems they may encounter.
