We are a cottage foods bake shop birthed out of the desire to
create good food with as many local ingredients as possible, while specializing in fun and unusual
flavors. Every day is a new adventure from creating our small hand crafted
batches of batter to delightful engaged conversation with our regulars. You
won’t find any plain chocolate chip cookies here. Everything is unique in its
own right, from the Black Beauty beer cupcakes, to the white chocolate raspberry
We need more room and a commercial kitchen to continue to grow and expand. Having a commercial space will allow us to ship items, take internet orders, cater events and expand our menu to include other quality items we currently do not have the space to make. Some of these items are home brewed soda, ice cream, artisan breads, soups, and a fair trade organic coffee bar.
Over the past year we have built both a solid reputation and loyal following
in our town and the surrounding areas. Our original plan assumed that it would
take 2-3 years before we were in the position we are now. Things
don’t always go as planned. In our first year we have grown at a much more rapid
pace than we ever expected. We have outgrown our kitchen space and need to
move into a bigger commercial facility. The money from this campaign
will allow us to do that and more.

Risks and challenges
With food establishments there is huge risk for failure. We see some of the challenges arising in the areas of building out the new kitchen space, and moving our business.
The Building - We have a dedicated team of volunteer lined up to help in construction along with a well trusted community contractor to guide this phase through to completion.
The Move - We have been pushing the possible move to our clients for the past 3 months to continue to raise awareness about the coming shift in locations. Prior to the move we will be placing signage at our current location and handing out postcards with every sale at our current location leading into the move.
