Language learning is a difficult task. Many of us start out, eager to try and use various programs, but often times end up getting bored or frustrated. We don’t want to be tied down by expensive classes or unengaging books on tape! But what else is there?!
As language learners ourselves, we have felt this frustration first hand! We have searched and searched for an alternative that would help us to accelerate our language learning but found only clunky and mechanical programs that neither offered an immersive environment to learn nor an engaging experience that actually made us want to keep using those programs!
As gamers, we knew the power of video games and how they really immersed us in their worlds! They challenged us to explore them, taught us how to solve complex puzzles and crush seemingly impossible tasks! So we decided to merge this powerful medium with the difficult task of language learning!
Since languages are best learned through immersion and engaging situational context, a language-learning video game would be a unique solution that has the power to get the ball rolling in the right direction! Subverses is a spy video game that offers users the unique opportunity to become immersed in their target language through a captivating storyline and fun gameplay.
