Three years might seem like a long time and that's because it is! David has realized many changes in his life since the release of his folk album, 'The Silo Project.' The most important two:
Realization 1) Release and perform müsic more frequently.
Realization 2) Make the music louder, faster, stronger, and more fun.
So that's what he's done. Maybe it took a while, but that's beyond the point. The point is it's time to get it in your hands! To make that happen we have three important things that need backing:
Thing 1) Mastering the tracks
Thing 2) Printing the CD
Thing 3) Promoting the CD
For most independent releases this can cost between $20,000 and $80,000. David has had some amazing and talented friends who believe in the music and have helped to reduce this cost. In total the 3 things will cost ~$6,000.

Beyond (Stretch Goals)
As soon as we are fortunate enough to reach this, we want you to know what we'll be able to accomplish with further backing:
$12,000 total - we guarantee a tour by Spring 2014 that will get us to as many of those who back us as possible!
$20,000 total - we begin immediate work on another release, which would be projected for Summer 2014. Each Basic Backer and up gets a physical copy!
With a sound self-characterized as Appalachian Rock, David Stükenberg strides a few steps ahead of the music scene, both in lyric and in a sound original to the artist himself. Stükenberg’s forthcoming release capitalizes on the Appalachian tradition of storytelling with its fictionalized musical narrative, consolidating influences and anecdotes from David's past into a distilled series of stories and thought-provoking scenarios. With a musical backdrop teetering between early Fleetwood Mac's eerie backwoods' melodies and the distorted, almost-Pentecostal energy of a church service led by Rage Against the Machine, the album grabs your attention and simply won’t let go.
We like to maintain a level of transparency that helps you understand what we're doing and how. If you have any questions about projected expenditures please contact Jesse Mursky-Fuller at jesse[at]stukenbergmusic dot com.
Risks and challenges
