Hello there, cultists!
We hope March is a little warmer where you're at geographically (brr!) and we hope it finds you well (or at least well-dressed, brr)!
We thought we would hit you with a quick update to let you know about a couple of ways you can now better keep in touch with Gibbous live. Here we go!
New Twitch Channel Name and SCHEDULE!
As you probably know if you've been reading these updates, we stream a lot of our development live on Twitch. Well, it used to be more of an "it happens when it happens" deal, but since the channel's audience has been growing slowly but steadily and the people demanded it, we committed to a schedule. All three of us now stream live, 4 days out of 5. Here are the deets:
Our channel name now is https://www.twitch.tv/gibbousgame, so please make sure and update your bookmarks!
And here's our weekly schedule:
Nicu streams development Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting 4PM CET / 5PM GMT+2 / 8AM PST.
Cami and Liviu stream art and animation Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays starting 2PM CET / 3PM GMT+2 / 6AM PST.
Don't forget about the Twitching Hour, that's our hour-long team stream where we talk about the game - and a plethora of other unrelated things - , every second Tuesday at 5 PM CET.
Incidentally, today is a Twitching Hour day, so the stream schedule is: Art stream starting 2 PM CET, Development stream starting 4 PM CET, Twitching Hour 5 PM CET.
There's a merry group of regulars that we always enjoy chatting to when we stream, so if this feels like something you'd enjoy, you're cordially invited to join us!
We're also uploading most of our recorded streams on our YouTube channel, so make sure you subscribe if you haven't yet.
Here's a sped-up recording of Cami working on a backer Case File portrait below. More on our Youtube channel.
This particular backer specifically gave us permission to show his picture on Twitch, Cami does not show backer pictures on Twitch otherwise, just the painting.
You don't need a twitch account in order to just watch the stream, only if you want to join in the conversation.
Gibbous Official Discord Server
I honestly had no idea what a Discord server was until about a month ago, but hey everyone had one, so we hopped on, aaaand it's a lot of fun! If you're as unfamiliar with it as I was, Discord is basically like a simpler, sexier Skype with themed channels (chats).
So, in case you feel like chatting to us in real time about Gibbous, Cthulhu, adventure games or life-the-universe-and-everything, this is our official server link:
Discord is free and can either be used as a downloadable app, from your phone or from your browser.
That's about it!
That's it for this tiny update, hope to see you on twitch and discord. We're thoroughly enjoying making this game for you guys, and if you want to stop by and check us out live while we're doing it, we'd be honored.
And, in closing, I leave you with a kick-ass piece of fan art by Michael from Btw-comic.de. Tentacles! Tentacles everywhere!
