About this project
We are hoping to publish the inspiring story of how Stoney overcame her fear of shadows. When Stoney was afraid of shadows we couldn't find a book to help her. This book details Stoney's journey learning to embrace shadows into her life. Stoney wanted to make a book so she could help empower other kids to face their fears and learn to have fun with shadows too. We hope you will help us show Stoney that she can be a successful artist even at 4.
Stoney's Shadow will appeal to parents looking for books that reflect a diverse heritage, neighborhood, and family structure. The main character in the book is gender neutral and does not refer to maternal or paternal characters, making the book an excellent addition to the library of any family.
Stoney's Shadow will be published in Spanish, French, Mandarin and English. A portion of the proceeds from the book will be donated to charity in support of access for all children to global education.
We intend to translate the English text into Spanish, French and Mandarin.
$5000 will fund production of the book as well as support marketing efforts.
