Remember 2010? Disastrous economy. People out of work. Thousands losing their homes. Two endless wars... And the census.
John Trasker, a lonely middle-aged man, decides to rejoin the human race. So he applies for a job as a census-taker. While working door-to-door, he stumbles upon death and three million dollars in a vacant farm house.Trasker takes the money but becomes a modern-day Robin Hood, anonymously dropping bundles of cash in brown, lunch bags upon the down-and-out souls he meets while going door-to-door.
Unfortunately for Trasker and those poor souls, the money belongs to a killer who does not want to share. The killer is on the hunt, one step behind the money. The killer will do whatever it takes to get the money back. Anything.
Filled with terror, remorse and guilt, Jeff never sees the killer. The end is a surprise. Turns out the killer was one step ahead all along.
Death Walks Behind You is a movie* about ordinary people thrust into extraordinary situations. Its hero struggles to survive while keeping his humanity. Death Walks Behind You's backdrop is the untold story of the recession's impact on a midwestern town. Filmed in the suburbs and rural areas surrounding Columbus, Ohio, the heart of the story is its characters.
Census-taking grants the viewer access to the diverse people who populate the midwest and to share the random nature of their lives. But the story is about the chase and the hunt, good and evil.
Funds received will complete the cast, create sets, pay for small wages, equipment rentals, catering, transportation, fees and pledged gifts.
