Stone Circle Games is proud to bring you the premier tabletop battle arena experience...
Welcome to the land of Biternia, where you will ally yourself with your favorite heroes and form a courageous team to challenge your opponent on the battlefield!
This team-building strategy game masterfully captures the excitement, intensity, and competition of the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) experience with its simple rules, adaptive and innovative gameplay, and beautiful artwork for an entirely new gaming experience.
Build your team from over a dozen heroes, each with their own unique skills and devastating combat abilities, to defeat your opponents!
Who will be on your team?
Battle for Biternia is a head-to-head battle arena-style game powered by a turn-based, card-driven combat system. Each side drafts a team of four heroes and deploys them to the battlefield. Over the course of the battle you will level up your Heroes to unlock new powers that can be used to defeat your opponent's heroes, raze their defenses, and secure victory by shattering their Bit into...well...bits.
Whether you choose to draft your own team or use one of our pre-made team suggestions, a key element of Battle for Biternia is building your team of Heroes. With 16 different Heroes to choose from, each with unique strengths, you can build around your favorite strategy for victory!
Let the Battle Begin!
Each round consists of the 4 phases highlighted below. The game ends when one player has destroyed their opponent's Bit. The Bit is damaged by defeating Heroes, destroying Towers, or besieging it directly. When its Hit Points reach 0 you are victorious...unless it was your Bit.
After deploying the Heroes to the battlefield, the first step in each round is to give them new orders. You will assign one of the action cards from your hand face down to each of your Heroes. This will be the ability they can use this turn, so foresight and careful planning are called for here.
Once all the Heroes have been given their orders, you and your opponent will alternate moving your Heroes, one by one. Each Hero can be moved only once each turn, so catching your opponent in a cunning trap while deftly avoiding theirs during this phase can turn the tide of battle.
Alternating Heroes with your opponent, during this phase you will reveal the Action Cards you have assigned to your Heroes. Opponent avoid your clever trap? Not to worry, you can also discard your action card to Farm for gold or Rest to heal damaged Heroes. Be careful not to get caught without any armor though -- it could be hazardous to your health.
During this final phase, your team will be rewarded with gold that you can use to level up your Heroes. You will refresh your hand by drawing and discarding new Action Cards before moving on to the next Round!

Shane and JJ put together a great playthrough of Battle for Biternia at Atomic Empire in Durham, NC. You can check out the video below.
The Game Board consists of 3 "lanes" that provide the most direct route to your opponents Bit. In the three spaces that straddle the two sides of the board extra gold is placed at the beginning of the game for those brave enough to claim it.
The Hero cards in Battle for Biternia tell you a number of different things about your Heroes. Along the top of the card you have the Hero name on the left and Class on the right. In the middle is the Hero Sprite, their base Health, and their Hero Icon which is also used on their corresponding Power Cards. Finally on the bottom each Hero's trait is described.
Each Hero has four Powers that only they can use. On each of the Power cards you will have the Name, Armor Value, Hero Icon, and Power Description. Three of these Powers (above left), can be learned at any point during your Heroes leveling process. The fourth Power, their Ultimate (above right), can only be learned once the Hero reaches Level 4. The Ultimate Powers are identified by the gold accents around the Power's description.
In addition to the Hero specific Power Cards each player will have a set of four different Basic Abilities(Strike, Defend, Parry, and Dash) that any Hero can use. The Basic Ability Cards also have the Ability Name, Armor Value, and Ability Description but lack the Hero Icon since all Heroes are able to use these.

Risks and challenges
This is our second run at Battle for Biternia and when we fund successfully it will become our third published game. Our first successful Kickstarter project as well as the previous Battle for Biternia campaign taught us many valuable lessons to apply to this campaign. Battle for Biternia is more complex than our other two games, discovering and adapting to the differences is our biggest risk. However, to mitigate that risk we have done extensive research and collaborated with many other successful creators to prepare for this project. We are proud to have been able to deliver the fruits of our previous Kickstarter to our backers on time and on budget, and we are excited to have this opportunity to add Battle for Biternia to your collection of games in much the same way.
We hope that you’ll join the Stone Circle Games family and be part of our success. Thank you for supporting our project on Kickstarter.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
