The 6-hours-to-go FAQ

Posted by Stoic (Creator)

Hello again! 700% looms on the horizon and we can hardly believe it. You guys could really do it!

We've had a lot of new questions in the last day we thought we should clarify before the campaign is over. There's been questions about the stretch goals and we don't want people to feel like we misrepresented anything for the sake of donations.

Won't porting to consoles dumb down the game, compromise the UI or take more time away from working on the game?
We started the game with the intention of porting to as many places as possible, which we say in the video and on the front page. Something that we could have messaged better is that we won't be porting anything until after chapter 1 is complete sometime at the end of the year. We're not doing simultaneous development, so we won't have anything to port until we have a finished first release. We do apologize about not making this more clear.

As for dumbing down the game or making the UI worse, we don't think that's true. The game as we pitched it is going to be the same on PC, Mac, Linux, iPad and consoles, the same as we originally envisioned it (at this point, better). The UI will be developed to work on our first release - PC and Mac - and then have to be converted for other platforms in the porting process.

Can I have an XBLA or PSN version of the game instead of the PC version?
Our goal has been to make the game universal to backers; that is to say that you pay once and get every version. However, some platforms do not have a system in place for this, such as iPad and console. We may not be able to get free copies of the game on these platforms to give you, we honestly do not know at this time. If we can get keys, we're more than happy to give them to any backers who would like a copy. PC, Mac and Linux will all be available to our backers!

Can you port to the Vita?
We're still looking into this, but we can't promise a Vita port before the end of the campaign. We'd really like to get it on the Vita at some point!

Why did you structure your goals music, then porting and content, then cities? I had to support something I didn't want to get something I did.
We set out the goals based on what would affect the most people. Music is something everyone will hear, ports and content are something a lot people requested, and the cities are for multiplayer. We needed to frontload the things we couldn't ship without, and cities are something we could add in later as funding becomes available. Our stretch goals were just that - extra - so rest assured nothing about them has changed the game we're already working on.

Can you talk more about the additional content?
There are two main things we want to expand with additional content: one is the variety of events that happen during travel. We've mentioned in a few places how this will be reminiscent of King of Dragon Pass. For example, a group of warriors in your caravan may approach you and demand more food than the farmers. Depending on your response you may upset the warriors or the farmers, cause one or the other leave or turn into an unexpected fight. Or you might diffuse the situation and move on. Additionally, we want these events to have some repercussions. You might tell the warriors to back down and think the thing is settled, only to discover that two days later they steal supplies and run off while you're sleeping. We'd like to add a much larger variety of these events and give them more variables.

The other thing is the finale. We're putting an equal amount of effort into the game as a whole but we'd love to put more effort into the finale to 1) make it a longer event and 2) try to account for more variables. We were excited about the ending we were planning to do, and this will let us make a better one. You've already hit this goal, and we're psyched about the ability to work on this!

Can you explain more about the cities? I thought this was about a traveling caravan, not building a city.
Like we mentioned in the last update (but regrettably failed to mention in the video), the player-owned cities are part of the multiplayer game and don't affect the single-player story, which is about staying on the move to escape doom. As the multiplayer is largely about building a huge roster of characters, forming teams and fighting other parties in battle, building your own headquarters is a perfect fit, and something we've always been excited about. Both of these scenarios take place at the same time in the game and will make perfect sense within the context of the story when you see it!

Implementing a new system is never a small task, though, and we're trying very hard to be realistic about what we can handle. Additional funding lets us get hired help to make it happen. Unlike porting, if we meet this goal we're hoping to get this content in the game at release!

I'm interested in the Performance prize but I also want the other prizes, which aren't included. Is there any way to come to a compromise?
As some of you have noticed, we reduced the availability of "the performance" from 3 to 2 for this very reason- someone contacted us to work out a deal for both packages. If you're interested, just let us know.

Do you have examples of guild crests I could look at?
One of our backers named Jessica from neondragonart has been doing some amazing work in the comments thread. Check out her gallery of requested guild crests by clicking HERE. She's no longer taking suggestions but her work is exactly the kind of quality we'd love to see!

When is the game going to be released?
We originally estimated the end of the year. We've been careful not to dramatically change the scope of the game but as you can probably tell we've added a LOT of stuff, way more than we ever expected. We don't see it going something like six months over schedule but we do want to honest that it could go past this year. That said, we will absolutely make sure that all the physical prizes are shipped by the given date!

Is the game going to be in my language? And when will it get translated?
We absolutely intend to translate to as many languages as possible, starting with German, French, Italian and Spanish. We've also gotten a lot of interest in Russian, Polish and Portuguese. We can't guarantee that they'll be ready at launch but once we add the translations you won't have to repurchase the game to see them.

The Final Update; Goals and an Invitation to You

Posted by Stoic (Creator)

HOURS!

We've now officially gone from days to hours, and in our last video update before the end of the campaign we wanted to send you a huge thank you, offer a few final goals and send a special invitation to you. Make sure to watch to the end of the video!

If you're in Austin, Texas this Saturday at 3 pm (check the video!) and would like to join us at the Pour House you can get directions by CLICKING HERE.

GOALS!

We've gotten a lot of questions about what we're going to do with extra funding, now that we're so far over our goal. First and foremost, we want you to know that, as you can probably tell, we are overjoyed to have gotten this far and beyond happy to make the game with what we've got. There are a handful of things that we never thought we'd get close to and if you agree that they're worth the extra push we'd be ecstatic to make it happen! Here's the chart:

Here's more info on each of these:

The Orchestra (at $600k)
Austin Wintory is currently working on the soundtrack and hiring on musicians but due to the cost of a full orchestra is still working with a combination of digital and live music. If we hit this goal we'll be able to have a full, honest-to-goodness orchestral score, each instrument played by a real musician in a high-quality recording studio used by film legends like John Williams.

Then what are the promotional music prizes for?
Prizes like the score and the signature have helped us get this far and also double as a way to guarantee that your personal donation goes directly into funding the music for the game.

The Most Content on the Most Platforms (at $650k)
Like the port to iPad and Linux, if we hit this goal we'll be able to make the game available on Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network. The funding will allow us to have additonal developers port the game, leaving us to focus on content development.

The additional content is just as important. This will give us the ability to add a much wider range of special events that can occur as you travel and really expand the scope of the finale to make it the biggest, most rewarding conclusion we can.

The Player-Owned Cities (at $700k)
If we meet this goal we'll be able to add one of the coolest features we thought was way beyond the scope of our game. In multiplayer, players will control their own city, raising it from a modest village to a bustling city with visual customization and their guild crest flying on the walls. Over time, players can construct buildings that will allow them to recruit new units, trade for powerful items and ultimately fight for territory.

How does extra funding allow you to do this?
These stretch goals will enable us to contract additional work for programming, design and writing, in addition to taking some of the load off of us, allowing the team to focus on expanding the content. The limited hours in a day are our biggest bottleneck at this point!

On that note...

WE'RE NOW HIRING

Keeping in the spirit of working with our backers, we're thrilled to offer some opportunities to you. We are currently looking for creative people who are inspired by the project to join us and fill the following roles:

  • Technical UI Artist
  • Game Programmer
Please note: both positions require prior experience in the game industry, and will be roughly 40 hour/week contract positions with durations ranging from 2 to 4 months. We're not looking for interns at this time, and unfortunately we don't have any full-time positions available. If you've got experience in the above fields and are into the project, please send your resume, online portfolio, and any other pertinent information to jobs@stoicstudio.com. We'll be hiring up quickly over the next few weeks.

We may also be looking for additional contractors in other departments soon, so keep an eye out.

ONE LAST THANK YOU

This is our last update before the end of the project. It's been a crazy ride and we're completely out of ways to say thank you anymore. In fact, I think we've already said that. But the real work has just begun! From here on out we'll be laser-focused on producing the game and be talking more in depth about the combat mechanics, lore, characters and other gameplay. We'll also be setting up a discussion forum as soon as we can and begin putting together the Kickstarter prizes; no small task.

We can't wait.

Skål!

The Prize Clarification Update

Posted by Stoic (Creator)

Hello, esteemed backers! Within the last few days, two very important things have happened to encourage this update: 1) We added a bunch of new prizes to our already many and varied prizes! and 2) We’ve gotten a lot of requests to clarify said prizes, and have been pointed to other kickstarter campaigns who have already done a similar update.

So, we’ve broken out each individual tier to tell you exactly what you get and address some of the common questions we get about them. We should mention this up front: regardless of whether you’ve changed your pledge or not, you will receive whichever prize you have selected when the campaign ends on April 20th.

Once our Kickstarter campaign ends we’ll be sending out a survey to each of you that let you decide on any variables found in the prizes below, such as shirt sizes, guild crests, name in the credits or your preferred platforms.

the WALLPAPER ($5 pledge)

  • You get: the desktop wallpaper for PC or Mac.
  • The wallpaper is unique to the Kickstarter campaign and will be available in most major resolutions.
  • We’ll be making the wallpaper available to all backers by the end of April.
  • This tier is more of a support level and does not include the game itself.
the BANNER SAGA ($10 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + the first part of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac.
  • We consider the first part of The Banner Saga to be a complete game in its own right. We also plan to make The Banner Saga a trilogy. Once all three parts are finished they will tie together to form the entire trilogy and one big story arc. Your progress from Chapter 1 will carry over into Chapter 2 and 3. We will be releasing Chapter 1 first, then 2 and then 3 as soon as each part is complete. In case you miss out on donating, all 3 parts of the game can still be purchased after the Kickstarter campaign ends! See the Kickstarter FAQ for more info.
  • While the game will not be a short 2 or 3 hour fling, please keep in mind it is being developed by a small team in under a year with more content to come. We do not yet know the total length of the first chapter but we believe $10 is a fair, honest price for the scope we are attempting to achieve. We want nothing more than for you to feel that you got your money’s worth.
  • We will be porting the game to iPad and Linux after our initial release. We cannot provide free keys for the iOS version due to restraints from Apple, but we will be providing a free Linux version to anyone who requests it in the survey we send out at the end of the Kickstarter campaign. Both of these will be available as soon as we are able to begin porting the game; post-release, but before the second part of the game.
  • We hope to port to as many other devices and platforms as time and money allows. It will definitely be a balancing act.
the SPECIAL EDITION ($25 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + the complete first part of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST (original soundtrack) + your name in the credits.
  • The digital art book includes all of the production art and roughs that we’ll be doing for the first part of the game.
  • The digital soundtrack includes the original score composed by Austin Wintory, from the first part of the game.
  • Both the art book and soundtrack will be made available digitally, meaning you will be directed to a link that will allow you download them. We will not be shipping you anything physical.
  • We will send you a survey allowing you to add any name you’d like in a “special thanks” section of the credits for the game, which can be accessed from the title screen of the game. This can be your name, your friend's name, your dog’s name, your company name - anything you’d like, barring flat-out profanity, which will be removed without notice. These credits will probably be very long.

the CREST ($50 pledge) CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE TEMPLATE

  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + a guild crest, made by you, added to the game
  • To reiterate: at this tier and above you get the full trilogy, all three games!
  • There are so many pledges for the guild crest that we cannot possibly implement them all by hand. We will be providing a template allowing you to create your design and send it back to us. It will be up to you to follow the instruction and make sure it looks exactly how you want it.
  • Your crest will be available to anyone who plays the game. When you start a new game, you will prompted to select a crest. This symbol will represent your character for the remainder of the game, and in multiplayer.
  • You will need to provide a name for your crest. In the game, this will allow you to search for your personal contribution. You will also want to tag it with different categories such as “weapon” or “animal”, to narrow down the options when looking through other backers crests.
  • We will not be culling out similar or duplicate designs. If there are 300 similar wolf heads, so be it. Really, can you have too many wolf heads to choose from?
  • To keep it simple we'd need to keep to four simple guidelines: no sexual content (sorry). That means no genitals, innuendo or implied phallus hidden in the negative space. No trademarked or otherwise plagiarized logos. Try to keep things in a vaguely appropriate theme. If you've really got to get your spaceship logo in there it's not a big deal, but please try to hold off on the assault rifles and trollface guys. If you aren't sure if it's ok, don't do it. It has to be a graphic image or icon. We can't put text on a banner. If you break any of these rules we’ll have to remove your crest. We won’t have time to do a lot of feedback on this, so please keep things simple.
  • You can opt out of creating a guild crest if you’d like. Just don’t submit a crest to us and you’re off the hook.
  • Once we get the submission page working you can submit your crest based on the template HERE.
the POSTER, SPECIAL PROMOTION ($50 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the poster
  • To reiterate: at this tier and above you get the full trilogy, all three games!
  • This prize tier was made specially for backers who didn’t want to submit a guild crest or wanted the poster at a lower price.
  • The poster is standard movie poster size: 24 x 36 inches
  • All posters will be rolled and mailed in a tube, not folded.
  • Include an additional $10 for shipping outside the US & Canada.
the POSTER ($80 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the guild crest + the signed poster + the button.
  • The main difference between this prize and the $50 version is that the poster will be hand-signed by all three of us at Stoic and we’ll be including the button shown on our main Kickstarter page.
  • Unlike the $50 poster, this tier includes the guild crest prize.
  • The poster is standard movie poster size: 24 x 36 inches.
  • All posters will be rolled and mailed in a tube, not folded.
  • Include an additional $10 for shipping outside the US & Canada.
the T-SHIRT ($100 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the guild crest + the signed poster + the button + the t-shirt.
  • The shirt will be available in all major adult sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL for both men and women. At this time we do not plan to print the shirt in children’s sizes.
  • We’ll be using the best quality shirt we can get from a local silkscreen shop.
  • The t-shirt design will never be printed again once the Kickstarter campaign is over!
  • Include an additional $10 for shipping outside the US & Canada.
the SCORE ($150 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the guild crest + the signed poster + the button + the tshirt + a physical, signed CD of the soundtrack with bonus material
  • The physical copy of the soundtrack will be hand-signed by Austin Wintory.
  • The CD will also include bonus material and/or remixes that cannot be found on the digital OST. While we are currently sorting out the details of this, rest assured that there will be cool, exclusive tracks on the CD.
  • This special pledge goes directly toward funding a full orchestral soundtrack for the game.
  • Include an additional $15 for shipping outside the US & Canada (sorry we forgot to mention this in the prize description).
the ANIMATION CEL ($250 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the guild crest + the signed poster + the button + the tshirt + the signed CD + a physical animation cel of one key character character from the game.
  • At this tier you will have the option of choosing one of the two characters: Rook or Juno. Both play a major role in the single player campaign. We’ll send you a survey at the end of the campaign so you can choose which you’d like.
  • Each animation cel is limited and numbered. We’ll never print them again after the Kickstarter campaign.
  • Include an additional $15 for shipping outside the US & Canada.
the SIGNATURE ($350 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the guild crest + the signed poster + the button + the tshirt + the signed CD + the animation cel + a physical, hand-signed copy of one page of the sheet music used by the actual musicians.
  • The physical copy of the sheet music played by the actual musicians and signed by Austin Wintory.
  • This special pledge goes directly toward funding a full orchestral soundtrack for the game.
  • Include an additional $15 for shipping outside the US & Canada (sorry we forgot to mention this in the prize description).
the LANDSCAPE ($600 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the guild crest + the signed poster + the button + the tshirt + the signed CD + the animation cel + the signed sheet music + a framed lithograph of a landscape scene from the game.
  • The framed lithograph is 12 x 36 inches.
  • Include an additional $20 for shipping outside the US & Canada.
the RELIC ($800 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the guild crest + the signed poster + the button + the tshirt + the signed CD + the animation cel + thesigned sheet music + the landscape lithograph + a custom item added to the game that affects gameplay and other players can acquire.
  • Send us a photo of the item you’d like to see in the game and our art director will turn it into an illustrated icon by hand.
  • You can choose the rarity, work with us on a custom description and select a passive bonus that your item grants. Characters in the game can equip these items and they become part of the normal item circulation.
  • Because the items in our game will provide passive bonuses, they can be anything that is a wearable item: earrings, necklace, ring, hair jewelry, bracers, shoes, boots, gloves, brooch, shoulder pad, sash, belt, buckle, weapon attachment, pommel wrap, rune carving, etc etc.
  • What we cannot do is change a characters held items or their image in combat. This would complicate our animation and item system beyond the scope of what we can handle. If you have something similar to a weapon you'd really like to get in the game email us and we'll work with to find a way to fit it in, either as a wearable decorative weapon, like a side dagger or as an element of their equipped weapon, like a series of runes.
  • Include an additional $20 for shipping outside the US & Canada (for the physical prizes included in this tier).
the SHADOWBOX ($1200 pledge)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the guild crest + the signed poster + the button + the tshirt + the signed CD + the animation cel + the sheet music + the landscape lithograph + the relic + an extremely limited edition shadowbox with unique artwork.
  • The shadowbox is 20 x 16 inches, framed and has a glass cover.
  • We’ll be working on the image for this prize soon and showing it in an update after the campaign has ended.
  • No shipping cost necessary at this tier.
the TRANSCENDENCE / VIKING GOD ($2500 prize)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the guild crest + the signed poster + the button + the tshirt + the signed CD + the animation cel + the sheet music + the landscape lithograph + the relic + the shadowbox + have your likeness inserted into the game as one of the dead gods.
  • We'll work with you to create a unique deity with your likeness which will be seen throughout the game.
  • The gods are an integral part of the lore and will be referenced throughout all parts of the game.
  • You will be displayed on special markers that make up an important part of the gameplay in the single player campaign.
  • Contact us before selecting this prize.
  • No shipping cost necessary at this tier.
the PERFORMANCE ($4500 prize)
  • You get: all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + the signed CD + the sheet music + an invitation to attend a live recording of the soundtrack and meet Austin Wintory and the Stoic team in person + a signed, leather-bound book compiling all of the games music + an associate music producer credit on the album and game + a custom ringtone created personally by Austin.
  • This special pledge goes directly toward funding a full orchestral soundtrack for the game. This special case prize does not include many of the previous tiers but has a ton of unique music-related gifts, please check the above list.
  • We expect this to take place in Los Angeles sometime between September and December. Because of the complexities of recording a live orchestra, the date or location may change. We will give at least four weeks advance notice and work with you to make it happen. In a worst case scenario, if we absolutely can’t come to an agreement we’ll refund your pledge. Contact us before selecting this prize.
  • No shipping cost necessary at this tier.

  • We’ll work with you to find some animations that will work best for you to be animated into the game. You act it out and we’ll animate it.
  • Must be able to travel to the Austin, TX area.
  • Contact us before selecting this prize.
  • No shipping cost necessary at this tier.
the EXECUTIVE ($10,000 prize)
  • You get: the wallpaper + all three parts of The Banner Saga on PC and Mac + the digital art book + the digital OST + your name in the credits + the guild crest + the signed poster + the button + the tshirt + the signed CD + the animation cel + the sheet music + the landscape lithograph + the relic + the shadowbox + the viking god + the recording session + the leather-bound compilation of the score + an executive producer credit on the album and game + custom ringtone + a framed copy of The Banner Saga’s main theme, each note hand-scribed and autographed by Austin Wintory.
  • Please note that for logistic reasons, this prize does not include the rotoscope shoot. However, it does include every other prize we have to offer. Holy moly that’s a lot of stuff.
  • We expect this to take place in Los Angeles sometime between September and December. Because of the complexities of recording a live orchestra, the time and location may change. We will give at least four weeks advance notice and work with you to make it happen. In a worst case scenario, if we absolutely can’t come to an agreement we’ll refund your pledge. • No shipping cost necessary at this tier.

FAQ:

“How will you handle international shipping charges?”
We understand there are some complexities with mailing items internationally, in particular with VAT and custom fees. This problem has already been addressed by other big Kickstarter projects and we see no reason to change the formulae now, so we’ll be valuing the items based on the cost to produce them, not the pledge amount.

"What's the deal again with first chapter vs full game and $50 and up and I don't even..."We know it has been a little confusing. The Kickstarter campaign is to help us fund the first part of our trilogy. At $10 and $25 you get this first release, which will be a complete game in its own right. At $50 and up you get the full game, all three parts of the trilogy. We did this because we went so far over our goal that we wanted to thank you, the backers. If you don't want to pledge  $50 you can still get the full game when it comes out in the future.

“Can you add this prize?”
The biggest requests we’ve gotten are for a box version of the game, a print version of the art book, more landscape lithographs and the t-shirt at a lower price. We have decided not to add these prizes for a variety of reasons, the biggest one being that we’re trying to balance the cost and the time it takes to produce these. Creating something like a collector’s box (for example) would literally take our art director upwards of a month between making the art, the instruction manual and printing discs. We’d rather spend this time on production.

With the limited edition prizes we don’t want to reduce their value to people who bought them because of their limited availability. However, if the demand continues post-Kickstarter we’re definitely looking into the option of providing new items at a later date on a company store. We’ll be keeping all of our backers up to date on anything like that.

“Can I pledge double the amount but get two of the same?”
Unfortunately, no. Kickstarter does not know how to track this information and with so many prizes to mail out, special cases are going to be very difficult for us to keep in mind.

“You forgot to mention this!”
Thanks for the heads up! Thankfully, we can continue to edit this page even after the campaign ends, so we’ll add any new information that comes up here.

The Last Week special video update

Posted by Stoic (Creator)

This is it, fans of strategy, story, art... and music: our last week on Kickstarter. Your constant support throughout the campaign has been an experience none of us will ever forget, and we have you to thank. We've decided to pull out all the stops in this last week to make this the best version of the game we possibly can. Austin himself wanted to talk with all our supporters about his role as composer on The Banner Saga. Take a look:

Now, onto the prizes Austin mentioned. We're beyond proud to announce:

The Score (Special music promotion)
Austin Wintory, composer of the hit game "Journey", will be providing limited edition physical copies of the soundtrack, hand-signed by the composer himself. Different from the official soundtrack, once the campaign ends these special edition CDs won't be available again. As part of the special music promotion, the donations we receive from this prize category go directly to help fund an all-out, full orchestral score in the game, recorded in a live studio! Includes all previous rewards.

The Signature (Special music promotion)

Get an autographed copy of the performance parts from the recording sessions; the SHEET MUSIC used by the actual musicians who play on the score. Needless to say, this prize will be a limited run. As part of the special music promotion, the donations we receive from this prize category go directly to help fund an all-out, full orchestral score for the game, recorded in a live studio! Includes all previous rewards.

The Performance (Special music promotion)

You are invited to personally ATTEND the music's recording sessions in Los Angeles or elsewhere later this year. This will include a day of hanging out with all of us at the recording studio, and lunch (on us). You will also receive a signed, leather-bound book compiling all of the game's music (produced as a one-off and therefore never commercially for sale) and earn a Music Associate Producer credit in the game and on the album. Not enough? Austin will personally compose an original 30-second ringtone, just for you! As part of the special music promotion, the donations we receive from this prize category go directly to help fund an all-out, full orchestral score in the game recorded in a live studio! Please note: this is a special case prize. While it does include the signed CD and the sheet music, it does not include any of the previous rewards. This one's for serious music fans. You must be able to travel to the Los Angeles area or elsewhere. If you're interested in this prize you must contact us to make arrangements before the end of the Kickstarter campaign: stoic@stoicstudio.com.

The Executive

We have so many prizes now we had to compile them all into one final, huge mega-prize. The Executive gives you every prize we have to offer (except for the rotoscope shoot), including the viking god and attending the recording session. On top of that, you will be given an Executive Music Producer credit in the game and on the album. Lastly, receive a framed copy of the Banner Saga main theme, each note inscribed by hand by Austin Wintory, who will also be kind enough to sign his work. Has anything like this even been done before? Please contact us before donating at this tier.

Whew.

We can hardly believe what an amazing ride this has been and your support has been beyond remarkable. Look how far you've already taken this thing. More than just supporting a game, you're the trendsetters on the brink of an age where gamers can again decide what they want to play. Be proud of that. We've got 7 days left: let's do this.

Skal!
